Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. This place needs to be shut down. Atmosphere? There is none. Ripped seats. Boxes stacked everywhere. Cords hanging over the entranceway. This is the most uninviting place both asthetically and with lack of the very basic hospitality. I ordered over the phone at 17:30 and I was told “15 minutes”. My order was $70 and I knew this was most likely not true, so I showed up at 18:00. After swiping my card and taking my money I was told, “a few minutes”. I was skeptical about this due to the fact that there was 12 people giving off angry waiting vibes in their pathetic excuse of a “dining room”. Two minutes after being told “a few minutes” I see through the dusty, swinging doors my double large sweet and sour chicken order being dumped into one fryer. So I sigh and know I have a wait. Meanwhile I get entertained by another angry lady who is at the counter and who also ordered her food at 17:30 only to be told that her order was never put in. So after watching the manager fail miserably handling this situation (because nobody here knows what customer service is), she announces she will go to the Chinese place across the street and storms out. The manager lady then walks back behind the dirty, depressing doors and proceeds to argue in their language with the kitchen staff which is noticeably audible in their prison-like dining area. I would like to add this: This is the only Chinese takeout place in the area that I know of that blocks their kitchen. Not only with the doors, but they actually cover the window panes in the doors to obstruct your view. Now ask yourself why would they do this? Across the street you can see the kitchen 🙂 Twelve people sitting around waiting, about 8 bags of food sitting on their waiting table…getting cold…belonging to nobody here. I could provide the photo of this but I respect privacy. Now to my food. $70. Two large sweet and sour chickens, beef and broccoli, vegetable pancit, hot and sour soup. The soup was good. This is the only positive. Yay. $70 for good soup. The chicken was cold, dry, and tasted like used oil. The sauce couldn’t save it. The pancit also was so drenched in oil that it had no flavor and was inedible. I took one bite and my stomach immediately responded to it. It was thrown away. I ordered both fried rice and white rice. Again, the fried rice was nothing but oil. No flavor but oil. The white rice was so over cooked that it was starchy and clumpy. The Beef and Broccoli was disgusting. The broccoli was fine and for $13 you get about $9 of broccoli. The beef is the most disgusting, rancid, rubbery piece of dog chew you could imagine. How can you eat this? You can see the corn starch glistening in the concoction of crap you served me. I ate the soup. The rest is in the garbage. The homeless cats I feed couldn’t eat this. I had to take a “shooter” of a packet of your spicy mustard just to cleanse my palette of this nonsense you try to pass as food. Chinese takeout in this area is vomit and it starts here. Go anywhere else.

So I ordered lunch from this place earlier in which I was pretty busy at work today & didn’t get the opportunity right away to eat. Once I got the chance I’m sitting down eating & pretty much Chopped down into the rice & Lo Mein and got a bit more than I expected. I thought I was exaggerating at first but I wasn’t. I bit into a SCREW! I also chipped a tooth in which I won’t post but the screw is enough. I called the place VERY polite I might add to get cussed out & called a liar at the most instead of anything of apologetic. This has to be the WORST experience of Customer Service!!!

Praise praise praise. That’s all we have for this establishment and their staff. Most of our family came down with the flu, and we had to cancel our travel plans. Unfortunately that meant we had no Christmas “dinner” (or any dinner options), thank goodness for you! There was a long wait; many people were ordering. The staff here handled all the Grinches and cheery customers with grace—literally deserving of a round of applause. Food was hot and delicious when it arrived home; new family favorite for sure. You didn’t deserve the unkindness that you received from some people, and we are vey grateful for your service this evening ❤️

Update to my previous review. We decided to give China Kitchen another try and we were impressed with our dinner. The General Tso chicken was hot and fresh, the chicken was flavorful and not full of filler. The chicken teriyaki and honey wings were also hot, fresh and flavorful.

Lived in a lot of places(military). This is an OK place. I wouldn’t drive more than 5 min for it. Waits are too long and prices are to high for what it is. Maybe folks just haven’t had good Chinese food before, so they like this place. If your in a pinch, go for it.

Amazing food and service!! Witnessed a rude/obnoxious customer cuss at someone at the counter on Christmas Eve and it was handled very well. Poor girl did not deserve that. You all are wonderful people for even serving food so close to a holiday. Have the best holiday season! The overall best Chinese food in Knightsville!!

Do not bother calling in. They will pretend to take your order and lie to you and will tell you the food will be ready when you get there. I made this mistake… and as soon as I got there I had to wait in line for an hour and 30 minutes to reorder my food because they “don’t start cooking until you show up in the store.” They wait until you get there to start cooking so they do not lose money if you do not want to go in person. TRY ANOTHER CHINESE RESTAURANT!!! Horrible service altogether.

Placed order Christmas eve and eas told 45 minutes, which Im fine with because I know they are about the only thing open. Only to be told when I get there its gonna be another 46 minutes because if I haven’t paid yet it hasn’t been started. Tell people that when they call instead of wasting time and gas. Guess its time to find anew Chinese place. Shitty business practice.

If I could leave a less than one star I would. You better make sure that you check your receipts. They will stick and extra charge on your receipt and hide the receipt in the bag. The receipt had the wrong phone number on it for the call in order. Even when you have a phone log to show you actually called 3 times to get through and then talked for over 2 minutes. The staff claimed still we just have called the wrong restaurant and ordered there…again phone log They then try to say that you did not call in the order on the number that you said. They tell you that you have to drive back to being the food because they state your not telling the truth.

Worst customer experience. Used to be a loyal regular almost weekly ordered but won’t use them anymore. Have heard great things about the Chinese restaurant in the next shopping center over.

Also, when I got a call back after my original complaint, the guy identified himself as the owner but when I got to the restaurant and asked for the owner the staff said he doesn’t speak English. So either the person who called lied or the people at the store lied. So what else do they lie about?
