The Lunette Bar and Kitchen, is a delightful haven born out of a passion for exceptional food, craft beer and cocktails, and stunning views of the Farmington River.
From the team behind Brewery Legitimus, our mission is to create a space where guests can savor scratch-made meals while enjoying craft beers and innovative cocktails. The ambiance is flirty and warm and every visit feel like a special occasion.

I like Brewery Legitimus, so it was interesting to visit their new project. There’s plenty of parking in close proximity to the restaurant. The decor inside looks fine, although it doesn’t seem to follow a single theme. The restaurant has one room inside of the building and a nice patio with a look over the river.
We tried their salmon, chicken wrap and a cocktail. Salmon was awesome and juicy, pistachio sauce really highlighted it. Chicken wrap was fine, tasty, but one of the ends loosened up and didn’t hold the meat. Cocktail was good and smooth.
My main complaint is the same I saw in other reviews – service was a bit slow. It took around 10-15 minutes for us to get drinks despite having only 2 other tables occupied at the same time. And then even more time to wait for the food. I can imagine visiting this place during warmer weather, sitting at the patio, looking at the river and not noticing this time passing, but it is what it is.
I do recommend giving this place a try.

AWESOME EXPERIENCE!
from start to finish the lunette was such an amazing spot for dinner and drinks. The atmosphere is intimate and cozy. Our drinks were perfect and so unique thanks to the amazing Tiffany. All of the food was perfectly prepared and so so tasty. Truly exceeded expectations. Cannot wait to go back to try more since there were so many different options we just couldn’t decide. So happy to have this restaurant added to Collinsville! Wish you all nothing but success.

Well, it appears the Sayers have done it again! The Lunette is a true delight. Of course the beer is excellent – but the cocktail menu has a ton of options all well executed. The menu is elevated European meets American with options for everyone. We enjoyed the short rib dinner, lunette burger and short rib dip sandwich. The frites are can’t miss – and the dipping sauces took it to the next level. As a brand new spot in Collinsville, this place is about to take off! Anxiously awaiting the summertime weather when the giant patio overlooking the river is open for business.

Sooooo yummy! We started with The Frosted Pine (pictured) & the Sparkling Bees Knees to drink and both were fantastic. Shared the French Onion Soup (pictured) which was great. For entrees I got the Short Rib (pictured) which was insanely good & the bf got the Short Rib Dip sandwich (pictured). We both got another drink – the Pomegranate marg & the Countersurfer from Legitimus. Our server was nice, the inside was very nice and minimal while still being cute (loved the plants & flowers), and overall we really enjoyed it!

I randomly stopped here to refuel after some antiquing and it did not disappoint! I sat myself at the bar and was promptly greeted by a server. He was knowledgeable and helped me narrow choices — everything on the menu sounded great. I ended up getting the mussels as an appetizer and burger with fries.
My medium rare burger was cooked perfectly. The bun stood up to the juicy burger. My only criticism was that there was no salt — this was true for the mussels and burger. They both lacked salt and pepper. Chef needs to season! Otherwise, would def come again if I’m in the area.

I have to share my “Lunette Faves”- Grapefruit Mezcal Sour, the perfect balance of smoky and citrusy flavors with a refreshing twist. Pairs well with the pot of mussels and Belgian-style fries! The mussels are always perfectly cooked, and the fries are crispy and delicious—a must-try combo!
I’m also loving that they’re now open for lunch, making it the perfect spot for a casual week lunch date. Whether you’re there for the drinks, the food, or both, The Lunette never disappoints! Not to mention, they have incredible owners!

The owners of Legitimus Brewery in New Hartford, opened up this restaurant which serves New American food, craft cocktails, and craft beer. It’s located in the quaint and quintessential town, Collinsville, CT. It’s situated right on the Farmington River and just steps away from the historic Collins Axe Company.
We went on a Saturday for lunch; there were plenty of parking. Since it’s winter, the patio area overlooking the river was closed; I can’t wait to dine on there when it gets warmer. They didn’t have high chairs yet, but we improvised and brought our baby carriage in. The place was lovely; I loved the emerald green chairs and the plants on the walls as decor. The bar looked classy too. Our server was friendly and attentive.
We started off with the cheese board; for $16 it came with three cheeses, nuts, fig jam, mini pickles, and crostini. The cheeses were blue cheese, brie, and gruyere. The board was great and had a good amount of cheese; I just wished there were more crostini to hold all the cheeses. They had an awesome food and cocktail menu. I ordered the pomegranate margarita $14; it had pear juice, tequila, honey, and triple sec and it was a tasty drink.
I’ve been following them on social media for a bit and their short rib dish ($28) looked delicious. I had to get it for lunch even though it’s a dinner entree. It’s Legitimus beer braised short rib, carrots, onions, over garlic mashed potatoes and cheddar. The short rib melted in my mouth, the au jus was flavorful, and the mashed potatoes tied it all together. It was a 5 star dish.
The ambiance, food, and service were 5 stars. The prices were a little high but you pay for the quality. They make their own syrups and juice their own lemons & limes for their cocktails. I look forward to going back and trying more food and drinks. I wish them much success in this awesome little town!

What a wonderful gem for our town! From delicious burgers to perfectly cooked salmon, the most incredible frites to the swankiest cocktails (the frosted pine is my favorite!), this locally owned restaurant is just the spot for gathering with friends or enjoying a lovely date night. Looking forward to dining while overlooking the Farmington River on the back deck this summer!

Since trying it in January, I’ve been a few more times because I LOVE this place! When my friends asked where I wanted them to take me for my birthday dinner, I told them “The Lunette!” We enjoyed the most delicious experience last night. Our server, Maria, was so wonderful. My group asked for all kinds of cocktail and meal substitutes and she handles them all with skill and a smile. She was managing the whole place by herself, and there were a few other parties, but we never felt like we had fallen off her radar. She checked back on us and really attended to us at perfect intervals. Her style and professionalism indicates she’s worked at fast paced high end restaurants. We had the most delicious cocktails and food. It was another GREAT dining experience. I will be back SOON!

This review is a combination of a dine-in experience and a take out experience. First, dine-in. The owners have done a great job of making it their own from the previous restaurant. We chose to sit at the bar because they were busy (always a good sign). I had the short rib and hubby and the short rib sandwich. Absolutely melt in your mouth fabulous short rib. Perfect winter meal. Before we left, we carried out a burger to our daughter and she couldn’t believe that a) the burger was a perfect medium rare all the way through and b) that the medium rare “held” on our ten minute drive home. We have since done takeout two more times and again, perfect every time. So excited to have them in town.
