Did not enjoy my meal at Switchback. Pizzas were starchy and bland. None of the three components (crust, sauce, cheese) impressed.

The Detroit-style pizza felt like a worse version of Mama’s Too square slices. It had the crispy cheese edges but the dough was more wet and gummy; the sauce and cheese were not strong enough to meaningfully flavor the thick layer of dough. Bland.

The margherita felt like it was going for a Neapolitan style but the dough was not light nor puffy enough. It just felt wet and limp. And it lacked the salt or basil to give it any lift. As I said, bland.

But the worst was the cider flight. The ciders were contaminated with brett. Safe to drink, but smelled distinctly fecal. I took a sip of each and asked them to take the flight away.

The pizza was fantastic, lite crust with great tasting toppings. They also have a selection of ciders made in house, my favorite was the Out with the Ark.

The pizza was incredible! The staff was friendly, took a fresh loaf of sourdough to go which also did not disappoint! Locally sourced ingredients cooked to perfection, I really recommend stopping by to try my new favorite pizza spot!

Ate in. Super small spot but it works. Tried both a regular style 4 cheese white pizza and a Detroit. Both were great.

The pizza and cider are amazing. The Detroit style supreme is now a must get and the standard cheese pizza was so good my picky 3 year old ate her entire personal pie. And the ciders are sweet yet tart and pair very well with the pizza. All staff is super friendly and I think it will be our Thursday tradition.

I went on a solo date to the Emmaus farmers market, and then walked over to switchback for lunch. Farmers market closes at 1, and the restaurant opens at 12, so it’s a very convenient, but also delicious lunch option after doing all the walking and shopping! I had their Corn, Sweet Corn pizza without the bacon, and their chocolate mouse. The non alcoholic spritz is incredible as well. This is an underrated spot

This place is our absolute favorite! Their Detroit pizza is amazing. Their normal pizzas are amazing and have the best tasting crust. The ciabatta roll is also amazing. Staff is super friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that Detroit pizza is only available on Saturdays lol

Our first time here and told this to who we found out was the owner. No nice greeting, menu guidance or acknowledgment.
The four cheese pizza came out with some substitutions but was tasty if sparse on toppings.
Then our second pie came out cold and the sauce was watery, tasteless, and barely had cheese.
The owner never said a word after we barely ate that pie. Believe me these pies are small and we were hungry!
So net net, below average pizza and a snarky owner. Curious how it ever got such high ratings. I would never go back.

After emailing owner who showed no personal concern: Well thanks for a completely bland response like my experience at your restaurant!

Let’s just start off by saying, I’ll be back. The pizza here was sooooo good! I couldn’t believe I ate an entire pizza by myself! Yes it’s that easy. We came in hot with a group of 12 half of them were kids but the staff was soooo accommodating because (we forgot to call) and they had just had rush hour. They fixed us up and got us seated right away. Not to mention it was quick service between drink orders and the pizza. We had a piece of every kind of pie they had to offer, and I tried them all. There was not one I did not enjoy the brick oven definitely works for this little joint offering a packed tasty sauce which is my favorite part of a pizza. The flights were a cool way to try all their different flavors of ciders. Happy to have ran into this joint.
