Sadly disappointing. I ordered the veggie combo to go. Instead of 4 veg dishes, it only had 3. The spinach and cabbage, which I had most looked forward to and that were listed as part of this combo on the menu, were missing entirely. And then I found meat in the 3rd dish. I’m vegetarian. The whole meal was ruined and went in the trash. I’m really surprised because I love this kind of food and the reviews are fantastic!

I have been going to Queen Sheba once a week for years. I like this place because of the excellent whole food ingredients, home style preparation, and the wonderful authentic deep flavors. The portions are large and I have never left hungry. I highly recommend the avocado salad along with whatever platter you get. I enjoy the family environment and I always appreciate it when the kids help out!

Fantastic!!!! We just ate lunch at Queen Sheba, an authentic Eritrea restaurant., and it was a wonderful experience. The food was super tasty, featuring unfamiliar, yet delicious flavors. We ordered a couple combo plates (one lamb and one vegetarian), which were presented “family style.” No utensils were used, and it was a lot of fun scooping up the entrees with fresh-baked, gluten-free Eritrea flatbread. Loved it!! If/when you are up for something completely different, but yummy . . . give Queen Sheba a try. I can’t wait to bring the whole family there for a fun feast!

Calm Ambiance, AMAZING FOOD. The price is unbelievable for the huge amount of food you get. Extremely flavorful. My boyfriend and I loved trying something so new to us. Their version of tortillas is a thin sourdough like crepe, which was so much fun to eat with for the first time. We will be coming again.

We always get the veggie combo and extra potato (#9) on the menu. The veggies are always very savory and delicious. Lots of flavor. The injera has a tad of sourdough taste to it. Always enjoy the food and the owner/manager.

Great food! Service not great. I may do delivery or takeout next time. One item we ordered never came. We ordered a platter, and the injera and platter both were wonderful. I think we were served by the owner, who brought our wonderful food out but was very short with us. Cute little restaurant, not large but seems homey, quaint.

The owner or chef or whoever is friendly, quick and gives great service. The food is fantastic, really tasty especially if you love spicy food. And the portions holy heck, amazing for their prices. I highly recommend the traditional menu, and the mango juice to go with it. Will definitely be going back again sometime.

For those with an adventurous palate who have never sampled Eritrean cuisine, a visit to this restaurant is a must. Good choices for the first-time visitor include the combos, meat or vegetable, accompanied by strips of spongy injera bread that serve as implements instead of forks & knives. At the far end of the restaurant is a small grocery section that offers a glimpse into the beautiful Eritrean culture. The freshness & quality of the food, together with the warmth, wit, & humility of the staff, make Queen Sheba a unique & very special addition to the Tucson culinary scene

Update: yeah, the owner is a joke. Go check out the other reviews that are lowly rated. Many of them are completely reasonable and detail experiences like mine where the restaurant just isn’t functioning. The owner then just calls these people bad people and tells them not to come back.
If you do that with me, I will move this restaurant review from Google maps to the social media websites tucson.social, yelp, nextdoor and others. I will gladly spend hours of my day telling others how incompetent you are.

Okay, technically marked as open, but under major construction. We didn’t feel welcome to eat in and decided to leave.
I’m sure this place is wonderful, but as far as I’m concerned it doesn’t exist unless you order out.

The food was great, also had very nice coffee and tea. We ordered the lamb, veggies and potato dishes as well as avocado salad.
