They have outdone themselves on this new and updated version of this restaurant. It is clean. Very comfy, very inviting and the atmosphere is really great. They offer a wide range of entrees and sandwiches including breakfast now. I tried the prime rib for dinner and it was excellent but ordered medium. Rare came out about medium-ish but it was still good and the french fries and mashed potatoes that it came with were wonderful. It can get busy at times. And when I went there really wasn’t a lot of people. But for the overall value I truly recommend it..

“New” location of Sandhill Cafe inside Gun Lake Casino is a decent spot to eat if you’re there. The atmosphere is slightly cold and a little too sophisticated for the menu and it being a “cafe.” Service was decent (friendly but seemed frazzled). Party started with the cheese curds which were super soft, creamy, and came with good ranch. Then tried the avocado toast and the salmon dinner. The toast was prepared well with fresh ingredients. The salmon was just so-so; it was a smaller filet and the sauce on it was not good (comes with two sides; party chose green beans and coleslaw-both of which had good flavor). Felt salmon was overpriced for the size of portion & location (Wayland). They also charged for soda (Coke products) when you can get it for free in the casino.

I had the avocado toast and did not like it. Would have liked something less fancy looking and more tasty and maybe two slices instead of only one. My partner had the biscuits and gravy, eggs and some bacon. He said it was just alright. He said the bacon tasted pre-cooked because it was tough.

Great place to eat and very comfortable. Had the turkey stack. Real turkey with mash potatoes on Texas toast with gravy. Bae had the sandwich u dunk in aw sauce. They now serve breakfast ALL DAY BRAVO Thank you sandhill Cafe for being a great restaurant. I definitely recommend this restaurant to the public.

Food is decent. I’m not particularly fussy, but at every visit (I’ve come 10 or so times since they reopened), I have had to send food back because it was made wrong. No special requests done wrong, just standard menu orders made wrong. Unimpressed with service as well. They will ask you what condiments you would like and then it never comes with your food so then you have to wait too long for them. Here’s an idea, just put them on the table instead of trying to seem fancy by serving a tablespoon of ketchup in a silver ramekin.
This most recent visit though has me shaking my head. I have never ever been to a restaurant where a 2 egg breakfast doesn’t come with 2 pieces of toast. They give you 1 slice. For $15. And charge an extra $2 for 1 more slice. Ridiculous. A slice of bread is what, 25 cents? It’s like they are trying to keep up with Vegas for crazy nickel and diming.
Whoever is making these asinine decisions needs to get a reality check and know your clientele.
Honestly… just go to CBK. The food is better, the service is better, and the prices are better. I’ve eaten there easily 50+ times and I don’t think I have ever had to send anything back.

Quiet great service but the Au jus was so watered it wasn’t funny was like flavored water watered down Arby’s has better. The smoked old fashioned i had was at the bottom of my list I had in the United States because the bartender didn’t have the proper ingredients including the wood used to smoke. Also if you order a small mixed drink that is over $45 to $50 should be a nice pice of ice not a cheap ice maker ice. What I see is the workers are held back from doing a great job on there work buy poor supply and what there held back able to do.

We stopped by for lunch and was surprised by the friendly waitstaff, excellent food, we ordered the Club and the Reuben Sandwiches. Both were scrumptious and I swear they placed over a pound of perfectly cooked Reuben on marble bread! The 3 layer chocolate cake and mocha latte sealed the deal with us!!!!!

Briefly great prices and unbeatable friendly surface I love the food I love to come here and eat 1st on the matter what I always come out a winner always loved the ham steak for breakfast it was always my favorite I haven’t been there while but I heard they had took out the menu I hope to find this not true. All the hard work and dedication in the food shows the quality is 2nd to none and I always get my food how I ordered. Keep up all the hard work everybody and hang in there we can get through this rough time of covid 19

The service was horrible!! It was my daughters birthday. How disappointed i was trying to show her a good time and having such a horrible experience! We brought 6 people which none were happy with the casino at all! Couldn’t even get a machine to play only just suck you’re money away! On top of the horrible dinner experience!! Shame on this establishment!!! Oh by the way, My daughter never got her free dessert! Couldn’t wait any longer to get it!! The only positive thing the food was very good.

Wasn’t good from the get go. Our waitress was nice and friendly but not very good. From the start she forgot our drinks, messed up my wife’s burger order, had to be asked twice for mayonnaise, you kinda get the picture. My sandwich came to the table partially disassembled, and it lacked any distinctive flavor except for the greasy taste. Overall not a good experience. We’ll stick with CBK Grill.
