Hadn’t been in a while. Once I got a parking spot (they were busy), I got in and got to order quickly for dine in. The food was really good. Enjoyed the smoked flavor of the pulled pork, and I’ve always like the pulled chicken (especially paired with their mild sauce). They also have a wide variety of really tasty sauces for the BBQs, fries, rings… I always get the onion rings! Their sweet tea is the best too! Grace was really friendly as was Susan who helped me figure out some ToastTab issues. Had a great lunch! Thank you…

Used to love this place. Super disappointing this time. Dry ribs (day olds or more ) dry brisket (fatty) Mac and cheese was okay, but cup wasn’t even filled so portion was short. Their secret sauce is awesome as always and baked beans were awesome. I’ve been looking forward to this for days and it was a bummer…
UPDATE:
gave service 5 stars. Owner reached out and refunded me. Much appreciated and will be back. Thank you!

Tried this for the first time and it will be the last. Ordered a rack of ribs. They were supposed to be baby back which are a smaller / leaner rib more tender ribs. These were big ribs that still had the membrane on them. Half of the order was still edible where you can cut in between the ribs. The other half was a hunk of something. The ribs were not well defined and the meat did not taste the same. I left a message asking for a partial refund and no one bothered to call me back. We also ordered the mac and cheese. It was watery and hardly had cheese. Worst BBQ in Myrtle Beach and over priced! Pictures speak louder than words. You be the judge.

We ate here yesterday, and this was a major disappointment based on food quality and execution.
I own and operate a BBQ business, so I don’t say this lightly—the brisket was inexcusable. It was badly overcooked, sliced with the grain, and dry and tough throughout. There was no proper fat render, no tenderness, and no balance—just chewy, stringy meat that was unpleasant to eat. These are basic brisket fundamentals that should never be missed in a BBQ operation. What made it even more frustrating was that what we were served looked nothing like the brisket shown on their website. The difference between the advertised photos and the actual plate was drastic.
The chicken was dry, even with sauce. The pulled pork came in a large portion, but the meat itself was dry; the sauce helped somewhat, though the minimal amount of slaw wasn’t enough to balance it out.
The sides showed the same lack of care. The baked mac and cheese, while southern-style, was underseasoned and bland. The green beans tasted straight out of a can, the baked beans were forgettable, and the sweet potato crunch was odd and uninspired. The banana pudding was fine—but nothing memorable.
Credit where it’s due: the sauces were solid. The sweet Jimmy Ray’s and the vinegar sauce were both well done. The sweet tea was also excellent—fresh brewed and properly sweetened.
BBQ lives and dies on fundamentals and execution, and this missed the mark across the board. You only get one chance to make a first impression. This one failed. One and done.

Horrible food and horrible service. The owners daughter works there. She let everyone that was dining there know. It was her and one other employee and all she did the whole time we were waiting for our food was use foul language and tell the other older employee how much she hates her parents, and ALL of the bad things that she has done to try to punish them. (Her words). She used the F word more than any other word. Then she told the lady that she’s only 13. She was also very rude. The older lady never once told her to not be so loud or to stop cussing. Top notch service. NOT!!!! And the food sucked.

I felt that the BBQ was nothing to get excited about. To me, it didn’t have much flavor even with the sauce. I will say, they gave you a good amount of meat and the BBQ beans were excellent. Probably the best I’ve had lately.
I do feel it was slightly overpriced but maybe, there was a breakdown in communication. They definitely are out for extra money since the did away with the self serve soda machine. Cans of beverage are a little pricey too.
It will be awhile before a give them another chance.

Pro’s:
– very generous portion of pork bbq on the regular sandwich
– pork bbq meat was tasty. I ordered mild and got some of the vinegar sauce from the self serve counter area.

Con’s:
– I was asked if I wanted slaw on the sandwiches and answered with a hearty “yes please!” Received about a half teaspoon size amount of slaw on each sandwhich.

– ordered a side of hush puppies which could have been wonderful, corn kernels noticed on the inside of each round hush pup. But they were all very, very overcooked and we only ate 2 of them. $5 for a side of inedible hushpuppues.

I ordered takeout from inside the resturant and was the only customer at 3:30pm until one other person entered to dine in. I doubt we will try Little Pigs BBQ Surfside again.

Great food and great service! Best ribs and brisket I have had in the area. They also have a great lunch special with the pulled pork or chicken sandwich! Eat here all the time!

Picked up two sandwiches on my way to the airport so I had food for the wait and flight. Tried a few different sauces they had on tap. Delicious food and friendly wait staff. They had old twilight zone episodes playing. I’d love to have been able to sit inside and enjoy the atmosphere

I had a terrible experience overall. Staff was very friendly, that wasn’t the problem. The BBQ was sub par (4.8 out of 10). Sauces were good with plenty of varieties. Beans tasted right out of a can, slaw was soupy, and the meal was way overpriced for the amount and quality delivered.

Other reviews mention cleanliness as an issue and I agree. The entire restaurant and furniture has a film across it that needs a deep cleaning.

Kitchen staff conversation was about who made the bad batch of Mac-n-cheese the night prior. Obviously some attention needs to be paid not only to quality control of sides, but also taste.
