Looked around for a Poke place and came across Pure Poke. Went there to grab dinner had a delicious poke bowl filled with 3 proteins and lots and lots of toppings. Prices are certainly decent, and there’s a rewards program (1 point for every dollar spent, and 4 dollars off with 40 points) just for purchasing/eating there. Wasn’t busy when I went in the evening the day that I went, but it was a nice atmosphere. Appreciated complimentary miso soup that they have and the various sauces. The customer service when I went was fantastic; helped explain things to me since it was my first time there, and had a good experience overall. Will be back!

First of all, the service was spectacular. The staff were very patient with my girls who are unfamiliar with poke. They helped them make decisions based on their food preferences and were very accommodating.
Second, the food was fresh, bright, and exactly the lunch we were looking for. We aren’t usually able to eat poke/sushi often, and everything to from the miso soup to the sashimi to the mochi was great!
Third, the atmosphere was very calm and inviting.
I really can’t recommend this spot enough.

I had a large bowl, and the food was good! I just wish the staff were a bit nicer :). They asked me to choose from several steps to build my bowl (about 5–6 steps), and I felt a little rushed during the process.

This restaurant does a terrific job providing excellent service on a consistent basis. The food is healthy, delicious, and clean. They provide gluten free, allergy-free options. They offer Maine Root beverages and complimentary miso soup. The bathroom is decked out with appliances with no short-cuts taken. Coming to this restaurant for lunch makes you feel at home in a comfortable way. Thank you for creating this spot in Frisco.

I honestly have no idea why this place has such good business except other than the fact that it has a great location. I suppose that is a bit rhetorical. But I digress.
Here is why I gave it 1-star and won’t be back:
The variety of items they have for you to build your poke is fine, but they scoop piping hot sushi rice into the bowl to form the bed for the poke. For me, that is an instant no go since hot rice and raw fish is a bacteria experiment waiting to happen. But I suppose in this instant it might balance out since the raw first they served was FROZEN. Maybe not the yellowtail, but certainly the salmon and tuna chunks we had were like biting into frozen fruit. Another singular reason to make it an instant bad experience. And put the two items together along with the relatively expensive price and small portions and I cannot recommend this place to anyone.
I suppose others might like this place, and to those people … I salute you. However, in the future I’ll just go a little further down the street to Roll & Poke where the portions are generous, the sushi rice cool, and the fish is fresh but not frozen.

This is my favorite poke spot. The service is always great. The price for a bowl is fair considering you get free miso as well! Take advantage of the free sauce bar too, I recommend the cilantro sauce and Japanese relish.

Seriously, some of the best poke I’ve ever had. Pure Poke was packed with locals at lunchtime, a clear sign of its quality.
The Hamachi and Ahi-Tuna were incredibly fresh and a perfect combo.
The miso soup and detox water were a great bonus, and their unique sodas added a fun touch. Highly recommend!

Honestly best poke in North Dallas. I’ve been to others and the fish is seriously the freshest. Hope to see this place spread out and give more positive experiences like I’ve had.

I went there yesterday to get my own custom bowl, it’s very surprisingly the fish quality is way better than many places. They even have section for you to get miso soup. The service is too good to be real, they are very friendly as they can be. Will go back again when I have a chance!

This is one of the few places that offers a children’s toilet, and I absolutely love it! My daughter was able to use it independently, which made the experience so much easier for us. I truly wish more establishments would incorporate this thoughtful feature.
