The 4 of us had a very tasty lunch here before visiting the Christmas market. The atmosphere was great with friendly waiting staff. We really enjoyed the chicken brochette with fries and the chicken salad. The scampi in garlic butter and traditional sausages with stoempe were particularly delicious. The draught belgian beer was also very tasty. All in all a very welcome traditional Belgian lunch

We had a fantastic meal at Grimbergen Café near Sainte-Catherine. We tried everything from the fresh mussels to their hearty stew cooked in Belgian beer — both were absolutely delicious and full of flavor.
The Grimbergen beers paired perfectly with the food, and the service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The cozy setting and lively local vibe made it a perfect place to enjoy classic Belgian cuisine.

Excellent service, wonderful food, and reasonable prices. They only accept cash, but we were informed of this upon arrival. It’s best to make a reservation in advance.

This place near a beautiful square and medieval tower just off the main shopping street was wonderful. So wonderful what we went there twice within twelve hours end of July 2025. The highlight was the mussels and fries. I loved the vol au vent too. It’s also a bit nostalgic because I grew up around this area and am familiar with their beer brand. Try your best to speak in French and they will be delighted, especially if they don’t expect an Asian to do so. And sorry for the mix up of the euro bills during the payment. Hadn’t been to Europe in a long time.

Lovely spot with a great view and a cozy atmosphere. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. We tried three bowls of mussels which came in three different flavors – all of them were fresh, juicy, and absolutely delicious. Everything on the menu looked really tempting, so I’m definitely coming back to try more dishes.

The food was okay. The muscles were quite flavourless, but the beef stew had great flavour and spice. However, it was clearly heated in the microwave, and the meat was quite dry. Same with the mash potatoes. Wasn’t a bad meal overall, but considering how expensive it is, it was disappointing. Service was good and we didn’t need to book.

Just here for a night cap. Beer selection is excellent and they really made me feel at home. Just here for a few drinks while wife gets to sleep before I head up to hotel across the street and start my snoring. Vibes and decor are great. Owners were great. Did not eat.
