First time in Mesa, AZ and I was graving some good BBQ. I saw the pictures and reviews and knew I had to try it. This place has a really good atmosphere, great service and the food is worth bragging about!

The smoked wings were on point, we really enjoyed how they were served. The cornbread was some of the best I’ve ever had! They have a nice and big menu, which made it hard, because I wanted to try it all! I had some amazing ribs with some tasty sides.

The service goes over and beyond, explaining the restaurant since we’ve never been there before, asking about any food allergies and being fast and attentive with a great smile throughout the whole meal. I wish I lived closer!

We went on Christmas Eve. To be expected, it was busy. I was within an ear shot of the front desk as we waited (about 5 to 10 minutes) for our table. The front desk did a really good job managing server capacity and getting everyone situated. They were personable, and managed a busy restaurant with grace and efficiency.

Our server was Darren (I might be spelling her name wrong). She was phenomenal. She was attentive, personable and we weren’t waiting for anything. We watched the other severs in the area really kicking butt on a busy night as well.

The food came out of the kitchen much quicker than we expected on a busy night. It was great. We brought home leftovers! The portion size is very generous, the food has flavor. I’ve yet to go to Bobby-Q’s and not like what I ate.

All around great job, great experience. This is why we keep coming back. The food is great as well as the service.

We ended up here as we found out how incredibly busy it was at Texas Roadhouse across the street. It was almost a two hour wait. My boyfriend and I were seated within just a few minutes. The food was soooo delicious. The brisket was so tender it literally melted in your mouth. Mila was our server and I can honestly say we had the best service ever. She was so attentive and sweet and made our night special. She went above and beyond. We will definitely be coming back.

One of the classiest BBQ restaurants I’ve ever been to. Everything I ate was good. Brisket, sausage, beef ribs, and corn bread. All fabulous. The meats were all heavily sauced. That isn’t my jam. I prefer to decide for myself how much if any sauce I put on my meats but thats a small thing to nitpick. One other criticism was that the Mac N Cheese was lame. The “thank you” donuts made fresh on site were fun and yummy. I’d come back here for sure though I think you can get similarly quality food for less dollars elsewhere in the Phoenix metro. On the other hand if you are going on a date or a business lunch and want BBQ this place would be well suited.

This was our first time at Bobby-Q in Mesa, and we were blown away. We walked in not knowing what to order, but the staff made the entire experience absolutely perfect. Calvin, Jennie, and Josh went above and beyond patient, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. They helped us pick out the best dishes for our whole table, and they nailed it.

We ordered the Whole Hog dinner platter and the Q-Nachos, and every single bite was phenomenal. The flavors, the portions, the presentation everything exceeded our expectations.

The setting was just as impressive: super clean, comfortable, and beautifully put together. It really enhanced the entire dining experience.

Amazing food. Amazing service. Amazing atmosphere.

Just because this is a bar b que place, don’t be hesitant to try something different. The Chile Rellenos are the best I have ever had. Roasted, not fried. Sauce is a little spicy but really tasty. The two meat dish was good too.

Wonderful experience here with my husband for my birthday! Our server was just as fantastic as the food. 10/10 would recommend and we will definitely be coming back.

Absolutely outstanding experience! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by how clean, comfortable, and welcoming the atmosphere was. The ambiance was perfect — quiet, yet lively enough to feel inviting. The food? Simply incredible. Every dish was not only bursting with flavor but also beautifully presented drinks. We were even given complementary bag of mini cinnamon sugar donuts which were soft and delicious.

IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATION!! Worth the price for how rare it is to eat this type of steak that has such a long process to make and all the hard work that goes into its premuim quality, which does not do it justice.

This is the only place I know that does a 62-day aged steak for a fairly decent price that is a true masterpiece, where time intensifies its flavor and tenderness. The extended dry-aging process concentrates the meat’s natural “beefy” taste, while enzymatic reactions develop rich, nutty, and umami notes. As the natural enzymes break down muscle fibers, the steak becomes extraordinarily tender, offering a melt-in-your-mouth texture. With its unique balance of firm exterior and juicy interior, this steak delivers a luxurious, deeply flavorful experience that showcases the artistry of aging.

What made the experience even better was the staff. They were incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and provided perfect recommendations based on our tastes. Their warm, friendly demeanor made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a spot that delivers on every level — from amazing food to exceptional service in a gorgeous setting — this place is a must-visit. I can’t wait to return!
