This is a great place if you are in the mood for any cut of pork! you can select any cut of the pig and have it in either a taco, torta, or quesadilla. You can also order meat by the pound. My wife had The Quesadilla Moreliana and i had The Torta Moreliana. Both were packed with delicious pork shoulder and rib meat, along with beans, cheese and fresh guacamole. the also offer a salsa bar which is highly recommended. we will definetly be coming back for more!

Carnitas Don Raúl is hands down the best Taqueria in San Antonio for carnitas. The flavor and texture is absolutely incredible and the service is impossible to beat. We ordered carnitas and a bean & cheese taco and both were the best we’d ever had! We met the owners who were absolutely lovely people and had a very nice conversation with them. I cannot not recommend this restaurant enough!

Ordered Carnitas by the pound, gringos, and tortas Everything was great tasting! Would definitely come again! Really recommend the agua de Horchata! Arriba Michoacan for it’s great tasting carnitas! First timer here and it was a great experience!

Carnitas were very tender they offer the meat with fat or lean cuts of pork tacos are big. They also have other comfort Mexican dishes on the menu they also have a salsa bar with all the fixings for your tacos it’s a relaxed atmosphere place is a little small but we managed to get a table. Parking also is a bit cramped but there’s parking across the street.

This is a great spot to meet up for awesome food let alone drinks. The establishment has a simple selection of food from tortas to tacos. Pork selection is a choice of what you’d like to dress your torta or taco with based on cuts 1 thrub8 and if your like me just go with #9, all!!!! But, expect a bigger taco or torta of your choice. Now there horchatas are far greater than what you have ever had in horchats. Creamier and blended fresh! By far their pink (strawberry) which is so good youd want to take one foe the the road or their pepino which is a simple but flavorful drink. For me, a meal isn’t complete without an adult beverage and their Palomas are balanced and the difference in tequila choices make it far better. An aluminum cup souvenir served cold. tops off any meal and are top notch, IMO. Beer selection is also great.
Give this resturant a try as you will not be disappointed. Parking across the street is best if you can’t park near restaurant due to it be tight. Ambiance is alive and loud and well lit. Choose from regular style seating (low) to high rise seating for your grub on. Get their early s this place gets packed. Not big but you can also place your order to go and wait and drink Paloma or shot of your choice.

My pictures don’t do this place justice. It’s delicious and they fill your order with carnitas! I got the horchata too! Great food! Parking is tricky but you can park and walk from nearby worst case. Super good!

Raúl’s carnitas are honestly really good. If you wake up craving a great taco, this is the place to go. The carnitas are full of flavor and perfectly prepared. Tacos, tortas everything is delicious. The guacamole is amazing, and the staff is super friendly. Don’t miss it. Highly recommend.
