Overrated, Overpriced, and Not for Indian Taste Buds

Visited this place purely because of its sky-high Google ratings, but the experience was a major letdown. The food was outright mediocre, the flavours felt flat, and the prices were far higher than what the quality justified. It genuinely felt like a place running on hype rather than delivering good food.

Based on my experience, foreigners might enjoy these meals since the flavours seem toned down for a global palate, but Indians looking for authentic, flavour-forward food will likely be disappointed.

Tourists, a quick heads-up: Don’t rely solely on highly rated reviews here. There are plenty of better and more authentic options around that offer far superior taste and value. Explore a bit — you’ll definitely find better spots.

I’ve been visited Khansama occasionally since the last 3 years and their taste is consistent and good. Although it’s a little highly priced compared to the surrounding restaurants the taste is worth it.
They have different tandoori options – hariyali, tikka, reshmi etc among which hariyali is my favourite.
There is level 1 seating – non AC and level 2 has AC with more seating options. The serving time is fairly quick and the waiters are very responsive as well.
Though it’s mainly non vegetarian, they have a plenty of vegetarian options. They also provide catering services.

We wanted to order 4 dishes but the waiter recommended that we stick to two mains. Very considerate of him. Fish Marsala, butter chicken and mixed raita with garlic naan as carbs. Marsala tea was good! We even ordered samosa to go

I absolutely loved this Indian restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, Brahma is amazing staff.

The food was simply amazing and full of flavor, perfectly.

Every dish we tried was delicious, but the butter chicken and chicken korma were definitely highlights!

Highly recommended!

absolutely incredible. i had a perfect jalfrezi (spicy as it should be!!) and my friends were extremely happy with their tikka masala. ankush also delivered excellent service and accommodated for us despite us arriving late at night – and he even gave us recommendations for the local area. my standards for curry are extremely high and i have a new one weekly but this was without a doubt the best curry i have had since i started travelling two years ago – across asia and australia. outstanding food!!

Absolutely loved the food! Every dish was full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the freshness and quality of the ingredients. Portions were generous, and everything arrived hot and well-prepared.

Day 2 of our Singapore trip. 2nd stop of the day ‘little india’ (exactly what it says on the tin!!) However, if you enjoy your Indian food, and you have a European pallet, you will love it here. We didn’t need a beer, but there was a good selection. The gentleman serving us, I’m guessing was the ‘Boss’made us very welcome we ordered egg fried rice and a mixed chicken titka grill. OMG..THE best fried rice we have ever had, nicely spiced, very aromatic with a nice kick plenty of chicken on the grill platter, different flavours. Good value for money.

Khansama in Little India is a fantastic spot for authentic Indian cuisine, and their mutton biriyani is truly the star of the show. The flavors were rich, perfectly spiced, and the meat was tender—each bite left us ordering more. It honestly stands out as the best biriyani I have ever tasted. The restaurant’s service and inviting atmosphere adds to the experience, making it a place I’m eager to revisit. If you love a good biriyani experience, Khansama should definitely be on your list when in Singapore.
