A friend recommended I try Evette’s for lunch and the recommendation did not disappoint. We came for brunch and had 6 tacos. I had the halloumi tacos and my partner had the shawarma tacos. Bother were fantastic. The seasonings were on point and the parsley chimichurri was bright and fresh. The garlic feta fries with Evette’s famous pink mayo was also amazing. We will definitely be coming back again.

Had an amazing meal at Evette’s! The garlic feta fries were absolutely delicious—crispy, flavorful, and the perfect start to our meal. For the main course, we tried the chicken shawarma, and it did not disappoint. Tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The location itself is charming—clean, cozy, and welcoming. Highly recommend this spot for anyone in the area!

The vibrant culture of this place emanated through the window, to the sidewalk where I was standing, and stopped me in my tracks. I walked inside, saw what Chef alex was making, and said “I want that.” I don’t know what it was but it was no mistake. It was so delicious. Definitely the best restaurant I’ve eaten at in Chicago.
The spirit recognizes a positive culture through the food, and it does not go unappreciated thank you to Chef’s alex and Chris, and Cici for being so awesome.

So incredible. I’m from the Palestinian diaspora in Lebanon and this hits every spot from home. The shawarma is perfectly cooked and charred/caramelized with amazing flavor and tenderness. All of the flavors pair so well together. My only regret is not coming here sooner when I first heard about it.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Was welcomed with a nice hello right away, very welcoming. The lady who looked our order at the register took an oddly long to ring in our order, and after paying and receiving our food realized she actually missed some items. So that was a bummer. The food was delicious and right on with the flavor. So really only con was issue with getting our order in the system through the cashier. Oh, and also they don’t have a public restroom?

Found this place very much by accident but so glad that I did! The Falafel I ordered was absolutely amazing. One of the better I have had. The Garlic Fries were also amazing. Definitely a different spin on traditional garlic fries with the feta and sauce but was delicious.
Serve was quick and pleasant. Atmosphere was calm and fun. The old school wrestlers on the wall, which was the owners family I was told, gave it a very homely vibe. The food was so good I forgot to take photos . My apologies.
Definitely will come back here when in town again!

Shawarma bowl was good and had an interesting composition of chicken, couscous, salad and fries. Garlic sauce is exceptional. Feta fries are also very good. Only downside is limited outdoor space – but atmosphere inside is fun and unique.

Wow okay yummy!! Friendly service, clean restaurant, scrumptious food! My gal pal got the chicken shawarma – delicious. I got the garlic feta fries with falafel on them – also delicious. Good quality food that was completely satiating. I left feeling totally fulfilled. Would definitely recommend!

The best loaded fries I have ever had! The pita bread with Halloumi was pretty mid in comparison. The atmosphere not really the best. Better for takeout.

I had high hopes for this place, and the falafel bowl I ordered was indeed delicious. However, I was a bit taken aback by the price, which was $17 (plus an additional $6 for the halloumi) for what felt like a rather small portion. The interior of the restaurant is charming, but I was a bit let down by the service. The server seemed a bit inattentive and forgot to bring me the pita bread that was supposed to come with the meal until I reminded her.

In summary, the food was excellent but on the pricey side, and the service left something to be desired. I might consider revisiting, but perhaps at a different location.
