Smoked Southern BBQ, is a barbeque café located at the Fountain of Youth in St. Augustine, Florida. The American BBQ tradition was inspired by Native Americans, When Western European colonists arrived in North America, they brought their homeland’s roast cooking methods with them. Observing Indigenous peoples’ ability to preserve meats by smoking them, settlers combined smoking and roasting, and the American barbecue tradition was born! Whether your preference is sauce-slathered ribs or dry-rubbed meats, there’s something for everyone. BBQ, Wraps, salads and subs, beer & wine, Ice cream and More! Come dine in our outdoor area or stop in for take out lunch or early dinner, open seven days a week from 10 am to 5 pm.

This was a great experience. You don’t have to pay for the fountain of youth to go here and you get a free experience with peacocks everywhere. I had a dole whip and soup. My friends had a jalapeño poppers and cheese curds and the portions were huge.

Oh my goodness!! Coming from Tennessee we know BBQ and this place is AMAZING!! You can’t go wrong!! The food is 5 star excellent!! The ladies up front are soooo friendly! It’s nice and cool at the tables and the peacocks will definitely entertain you!! We had the Southern Fries and the Cuban sandwich and the Brisket sandwich all of which were made to order and piping hot!! So delicious!! We will definitely hit them up one more time before heading back home!! Forgot to get a pic of the Cuban but it was toasted just right and sooooo good!!

After a day of wandering the Archaeological Park, this food sure hit the spot. The food was good for it not being in a very busy spot. I got the smoked turkey sandwich and my wife got the Cuban. The fries were the best part though.

The food here was very good, we got fried pickles, a chicken house salad, a burger, pulled pork sandwich, a kids meal and a Caesar wrap. The portions of everything are pretty big and the salad was giant. I really enjoyed the salad and everyone enjoyed their food too. Pickles are very tasty.

Being this was at a tourist destination, I expected the pricing to be quite high for a barbecue rib platter at a price of less than $15 including a drink. I didn’t know what to expect. Wow what a pleasant surprise it was generous portions of barbecue ribs, baked beans, coleslaw, and butter fried bread. Atmosphere was wonderful. There were peacocks walking about in a park like setting. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone just for the food alone. However, basic setting, and Peacock made it really special.

Had a turkey club wrap and it was excellent. Strictly outdoor eating and you walk up to a windows to order. Food came quickly. As an added bonus, peacocks roam all around. My food with a glass of iced tea was $18.00 and I put $2.00 in a tip jar.

Delicious barbecue!!! Went there with the wife and friends. I had the rib platter. The six huge meaty ribs were awesome and the baked beans were excellent. I was stuffed by the time I was finished. The rest of my group had the brisket platter and they all said it was awesome.

The food here is delicious. I always come back for the bbq wings and crispy fries. Generous portions ensure everyone leaves happy and full. With fair prices, it’s a perfect quick outdoor lunch spot.

Me and my wife enjoy the food here it was good. Would eat here again. The tables were cover with bird poop and had dogs walking on them. They have peacocks on the ground. But I would not let that stop you. Lovely place. Just get extra napkins to put down. Ice cream and tea good too.

Fantastic smoked wings . We found this accidentally after coming out of the Fountain of Youth and decided to grab a snack while waiting for the Trolley. It’s great to know you don’t have to enter the Fountain to eat here. It’s all out side picnic style tables.
