The bartender Denise completely elevates my experience each time I come to La Tia Juana. She was friendly, attentive, and clearly knows her stuff. Our drinks are always on point, recommendations for mocktails for Dry January were spot-on, and she makes us feel like true regulars when we come. Her positive attitude and always fun demeanor really stands out. Bartenders like Denise are the reason we will continue to come back.

About a month ago I stopped here by chance because the party I was with suggested it. Upon entering I was immediately impressed by the vibe and atmosphere. It’s not a club, but it’s a step up from a bar. The food is great; it’s not a traditional Mexican cuisine menu, because it’s more along the lines of “street vendor” or “food truck” selections. The michelada shrimp blew me away the very first time I ate it. However, the main reason you should attend this spot is because of the customer service. On my very first visit I met a bartender named Denise. I instantly felt like a priority while sitting at the bar. She was attentive and kind, and the joy she portrayed while working didn’t seem forced our generic. She truly loves and enjoys doing what she does. I’ve been visiting this location every weekend since my first visit. Many times Denise is the only bartender behind the counter and this place gets packed sometimes; never once did I notice Denise miss a customer or cause a complaint. She stands on business and commands the room while she’s at the helm, a true “go getter.” She always wears a smile and makes you feel appreciated. If you’re ever in the mood for spicey lime flavored shrimp and an ice cold beer; you need to come try this place. You will not be disappointed.

Beautiful bar! The asada fries, asada tacos and the menudo are my go to. Perfect spot to eat menudo on a Sunday morning and watch the 10 am NFL game. The drinks from the bar are on point especially the ones Denise makes. She’s super sweet and quick with the drinks. She will take cute pictures of you and your friends. Only thing is they don’t have coasters. My area at the bar or table always gets wet, and I don’t like that. They definitely needs coasters for cold drinks.
