Huge portions & fabulous service! Requested extra crispy hash browns & they were PERFECT! Fruit was good & fresh. Next time, we will request that all our food is cooked extra because we like our whole breakfasts a little more done. Coffee was light – medium roast with no variations offered on the menu. However prices are reasonable & rest rooms are clean. Atmosphere is cheerful, old-fashioned, American café.

I love Jessica. I came here very hangry and they got my order in fast and out faster. Jessica is my hero. I got the breakfast burger and cinnamon style waffle and I cried. The atmosphere is neutral. I thought the fish would be real fish. But it was a store bought cod they baked in the oven. But everything else was delicious and nice. Im going back another day to try for lunch and dinner.

Where do I begin? It’s typical diner food, nothing fancy. Portions are large. Biscuit had no taste, kinda tasted moldy if that makes sense. Not sure if it needed different ingredients but it wasn’t good. Fried Chicken was very good and got like a half a chicken. Brown gravy needed some work. Chicken noodle soup wasn’t very tasty either. Chocolate cake was ok. Bathroom needed paper to dry hands and wasn’t very clean. Had to drip dry hands. There were 7 tables filled and several waitresses yet we had to wait for tea and service. It wasn’t a terrible establishment but these reviews are supposed to be honest and today, Metro Diner didn’t meet our expectations. We still tipped 25% but wouldn’t go back.

The atmosphere would have been better if the rest of the experience was better. This is the worst service that I have ever received anywhere. We sat for 20 minutes. There were three servers and nine and the person who is our server. I watched him dance around the restaurant and talk with other servers and took his break before he took our order I saw him pick up his sandwich and go into the back and when he came to our table to take our order he was still chewing his food. It was disgusting. I should have walked out. They offered a dessert as compensation for having to wait to be waited on and then they brought out a piece of chocolate cake without asking us what we wanted. Neither of us like chocolate or can eat it. So we ordered bread pudding that we had to pay for and we asked for some sauce to put on it and the gentleman cooking made a comment that we shouldn’t be giving this out free but the pudding was dry. It was a strawberry shortcake bread pudding and they didn’t give any sauce with it or whipped cream and you would think if it was strawberry shortcake it would have at least had whipped cream. I honestly cannot express how bad an experienced this was

Heard a lot about this place and their chicken. Very nice facility, extremely clean, really friendly staff. I wasn’t impressed with the chicken though. It had little flavor, it was very hot but came out pretty fast, which leads me to believe it was par cooked. That isn’t a bad thing, it saves lots of time. The mashed potatoes were real, I believe but again, lacking flavor. I may come back and try their breakfast but there are other places with really good fried chicken.

I really like going to this place, I’ve only been a few times because it is kind of far from where I live, but I seek it out. It has a great breakfast and lunch menu and it’s just really nice to support a local diner the inside of the restaurant is really cool. They’ve got a lot of decorations that are unique and the staff seemed to really be happy to work there almost like family. Maybe they’ve all worked together for a long time and that says a lot about a place if the staff sticks around for a long time. But I love the menu options. The food is good. The prices are very reasonable, especially if you get their specials or specials will be even more affordable. It can be a little loud because it is a busy place because it is so popular but I recommend going here. The parking lot I wish was bigger. I wish I’d had more space and more parking options, but it does share. It’s parking lot with some other stores so Parking is a little difficult sometimes but it’s a good location and it’s a great place to go eat some breakfast or lunch and support your local businesses.

I had an excellent waitress. The food came out very quickly. I got a veggie omelette with hash browns and rye toast. the rye toast was ice cold.
The veggies in The Omelette were plentiful but they weren’t cooked very well. The onions were almost raw. My waitress as mentioned was excellent but there was a waiter in there that had a really loud voice and it was very distracting as I was trying to read the newspaper. He was a little bit too friendly and a little bit too syrupy with his speech.
The hash browns were more like a half of serving of hash browns.
The staff seemed very professional other than the loud waiter of course. I would not go here again.

This is a local favorite, expect waiting time during busy hours. Best to call ahead for reservation to avoid long waiting time.
The staff is friendly and place is clean. Prices are friendly on most items and portion is great. The waffle is soft and chewy, but if you like it crispy (outside), you may not like it. However, the biscuit is excellent.
