This is one of the best Korean restaurants we have been to so far. The food has an authentic flavor and the atmosphere carries a very casual and friendly vibe. Ask for the barley tea. Condiments upon request like soy sauce and sesame seed oil. Overall it was a very comfortable dining experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to try something new or likes the Korean cuisine.

First time we did the lunch special here on a weekday and the food was delicious. I had the lightly fried chicken. If you’re not big into spicy food, I would recommend picking the green chili out or ask the chef to not put it on all together. The dish is very flavorful and the chicken is crispy. My wife had the mackerel. She liked it but did mention the portion was on the small side.

I like the food. Everything tasted good and scratched my Korean itch. Portions were okay. We just got it to go and had 2 bolgolgi 1 bim bop and a tofu dish. The shocker was it was a little bit more expensive than I was expecting. I’m not one to usually complain but 4 lunch dishes were $100.

We’re so glad we made a stop at Dae Bak Korean Restaurant after coming back into Charlotte from a long road trip. On a chilly evening, this place was just the cozy spot we needed. We were seated right away, and the staff was super friendly from the start.
The food was absolutely fantastic. We tried the bulgogi with rice and a mild sundubu, and the portion sizes were generous. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. We also really enjoyed the little side dishes—especially the kimchi, bean sprouts, and cucumbers. And the kids got a kick out of the steamed egg, which arrived so hot it looked like a little volcano steaming away.
All in all, a fantastic spot to unwind and have a great meal—highly recommend

Food was BANGIN! I ordered based off of the google reviews and they did not disappoint. Spicy rice cakes, the number 8 black noodles, and husband got the bulgogi. Portions are very large so you will have leftovers or you may just want to order one thing to share with two. They played really relaxing instrumental music & actual decor was lack luster but the food steals the show, which is what we were there for. Also, the staff was friendly and the service was fast!

i have been twice with a friend and i love it 🙂 food is so tasty and portions are very generous – def enough for 2-3 meals! i also love love love the included side dishes and always devour the broccoli and bean sprouts haha. very comfy and clean vibe inside and friendly service. i would definitely recommend and will be returning 🙂

Spicy beef stew with glass noodles was exceptionally special.
Hot pot bi bim bap was fire and the soy sauce was rich.
Steamed vege buns were… well have had a couple different and these were by far the best.

Disregard Chloe review, I went there the same day she went also I can barely understand what she saying in her review, ANYWAYS, this place switched owners, at first I did not like it because the price got bumped up way too high and the food quality wasnt as great, but I went yesterday(6/15/2025) and the service and food was great, no complaints. I would wish they make the korean pancake like one big one instead of 4 little pieces but hey, it was still great, overall I think its a great place to eat if you craving some Korean food.

The food is an outstanding rendition of authentic Korean. Unfortunately I was alone so I couldn’t try a variety of dishes. I had the fried pork dumplings to start. They were good. I followed with soft tofu seafood stew which includes mussels, shrimp and squid. I ordered it regular which is medium spice. It was just the right level of spiciness. This stew was an outstanding rendition of authentic Korean seafood stew. Service from the young lady was perfect. She took the time to answer my questions before I ordered. The five banchan dishes were all very good and welcome accompaniments. I will be back with my daughters today try more dishes.

I normally don’t do reviews I’ve only did three in my life but this Korean Fried Chicken was so good I had to let everyone know, The first bite is indescribable You lose the ability to speak and form sentences for a hot second and let me tell you this was one of those moments in time I will be telling stories about for many years to come.
