Staff was exceptional, very warm and friendly. Will definitely return.
The food was absolutely delicious. I had the bacon cheeseburger — huge portion and cooked perfectly. Definitely worth the drive from Richmond.
If you see Kevin, tell him I said hi!
We were told we couldn’t put the high chair at the end of the table so my son could sit between us due to the masses using the handwashing station. So we were pretty far away from our kid who isn’t even 2 yet. Nobody washed their hands at the station while we were there.
The twisters are pretty much the same as the house made chips and not worth the $8 charge as an appetizer. If we had known they were going to be so similar, we could’ve saved some money and probably been less disappointed over all.
My lobster roll was fairly light and didn’t have big chunks of lobster, it was like it was scraped from the bottom of the bucket and they forgot to put warm butter on it. The roll was grilled on the outside and the bread was fresh.
My son’s mac and cheese came with a very small portion of cold French fries. Both the Mac and the fries left a lot to be desired.
My husband got the NN burger and added bacon to it. The burger tasted like it came out of a freezer or was boiled before it was put on the grill; it was pretty flavorless. The bacon was 2 pieces of thin sliced microwave bacon broken in half.
Service was good enough, but not what you would expect for the prices.
In the bathroom they have a handwashing song playing on repeat that sounds like some kind of post apocalyptic indoctrination song. Kind of creepy. They also have a handwashing station in the middle of the restaurant.
Overall we were underwhelmed with the quality of the food.
They have outside seating which is were we sat, and they had some good music playing with some TVs outside for more entertainment. Inside was well kept and clean aswell as the outside.
We started with some wing appetizers with the Caribbean jerk seasoning on them. It was quite good, juicy and hot chicken! Although I felt there coulda been a little more seasoning on it. GREAT texture and GREAT flavor!
My coworker got the Jamin bacon blue burger, and I got the TOP-NOTCH Truffle burger! They didn’t ask how I wanted it cooked which I actually liked, they cooked it how they do it! From others reviews I saw the size of the burgers and lemme tell you! THEY ARE AS BIG AS THEY LOOK! ALSO the drinks came in a pitcher, I didn’t even think that was possible! When it came I thought we were gonna get little cups and share the drink… but we didn’t! IT WAS ALL MINE!!!! I drank it all and got a second one!
They first bite was like an ocean of flavor and spices! It was like the scene from ratatouille! Juicy meat that just melted in your mouth. You can get the fries or chips as a side and add some toppings to them too.
For dessert I got the classic shake even though I was already pretty full by this point, I couldn’t not get one! Everyone’s pictures looked to good to pass it up! So I got the cookies and cream flavor and it was really smooth and delicious! Little thick but I like that! They give u a big straw to suck out of so it’s perfect!
Now you might be saying dang dude save some menu items for the rest of us. Truely don’t care! This place SMACKS and I wish I had this where I’m from! I was stopping by due to working in the area and if you live here or are passing by…STOP, and go to NN Burger.
SERVICE WAS IMMACULATE, Vibes were flawless, food was astronomical! And best of all I’d eat here everyday if I could afford it!
I hope the photos do it justice, thanks to the staff for the service, and the cooks at NN Burger for the lovely meal, you guys did ur thing with that burger! I would love to stop on by another time!
There was live music which was great. The atmosphere and staff were all super friendly. The most annoying thing was the number of flies that kept flying around us. The kids were entertained for a bit trying to catch them with no avail.
Ordering was also VERY confusing. We saw registers on one side but also many patrons who I assumed ordered take-out and were just waiting for their orders. There were menus everywhere so we just started looking. We grabbed a table and sat down. There were cards everywhere too that had a QR code to order online. My sister and brother-in-law were like yeah, just scan and order. They had already put there order in when a staff member came over to ask to take our order. We were confused and said we already started one in the app. My sister had their number called and apparently it was all packed in take-out containers instead of for eating in-house. So we quickly ran to the front and asked if our order could be made for in-house even though we just ordered through the app. They said fine but that seemed to cause a lot more problems later as when they brought our sandwiches they couldn’t tell what sandwich was what and it was just a burger on a tray. Presentation wise it wasn’t great. They are large burgers but when placed on an even larger tray with no sides it was a little sad.
We ended up ordering a Truffle, Hot Honey Mambo, French Onion and Korean Barbecue Burger. Also got a side of Crisper Chips, Sweet Potato Fries and Fresh Cut Fries. We could not taste any truffle on the truffle burger. We all agreed the Hot Honey Mambo was the best of all the burgers we ordered. The chips and both fries were also good. For the price we paid and how much we got it was okay. Overall the food was good but not sure if it was worth the total price we paid. The quality was similar to that of Red Robin Burgers but for the same price there, you get bottomless fries.
We did try the freak shakes. We were visiting from out of town and we have been to places with shakes like this before and we thought it’d be nice. We ordered Cotton Candy Shake with Cotton Candy topper, Mint Chocolate Chip Shake with Brownie topper and I wanted a Coffee Shake but they didn’t have any and settled for a Salted Caramel Shake with Brownie topper. We watched them make it and were a little disappointed that it was just vanilla soft serve machine they added flavoring to and blended it. The ice cream also was filled all the way to the brim or neck of the glass before they put the topper on. They tasted fine but don’t think they were at all worth the cost. We’ve paid similar at other places for much higher quality shake. But it was worth doing once I suppose.
Overall it was a good experience and I would probably come again as a special treat like on vacation or weekend trip. Not sure if I was local if I’d be eating here very often.
