For starters, we had a beautifully presented tuna salad, which looked more like an art piece than a dish. The poached egg, covered in black sesame (as the staff explained), was an interesting addition that made the salad both light and delicious. I can still recall the flavours now.
We also ordered a ham sandwich, and although it may sound simple, this was no ordinary sandwich. The combination of ham and cheese was so rich and flavourful, far beyond what you’d expect from just a sandwich. It left me genuinely impressed.
For my main, I opted for steak with fries, which was my second steak in Paris, but this one was on a completely different level. Cooked perfectly to medium, the steak was tender and came with an incredible sauce, one I’d love to have the recipe for. The balance of flavours was just right, making me wonder if Paris really does have the best steak?
For dessert, we enjoyed an apple tart and a hazelnut pie. Both were beautifully crafted, with layers of complex flavours, making them the perfect end to the meal.
The impeccable service, combined with the setting inside the Dior house—which feels like an art installation itself—made the entire experience even more special. While the price at €358 for three people might seem steep, it was well worth it for the overall experience of dining in such a luxurious and artistic environment.
This lunch was the ideal way to conclude my Paris trip in style, creating lasting memories with good friends. I rarely give glowing reviews, but this one certainly earned it. I hope to return again in the future!
However, before entering the restaurant, I had an unfortunate encounter with one of the store staff besides the stairs on the second floor while I was filming the beautiful decorations. I was approached in a very unpleasant manner and told that recording was not allowed. There were no visible signs indicating this policy, nor was I informed upon entering the store. This interaction felt unnecessary and left a negative impression, especially given the otherwise fantastic experience at the restaurant.
Clearer communication about store policies and a more respectful approach would have made the visit flawless. Despite this, the restaurant itself truly delivered on quality and ambiance.
We stayed for two hours, and our main courses never arrived. When we pointed out that others who arrived at the same time had already eaten and left, the response we got was shockingly dismissive: “Yeah, you ordered appetizers.” To make matters worse, we ordered a simple salad, and they initially got it wrong, requiring a replacement.
The service was abysmal. Our waiter, Antoine—who also happened to be the manager—was cold, unwelcoming, and seemed completely uninterested in providing a fine dining experience. Dressed in a white bow, he didn’t smile, barely answered our questions, and left us feeling like we didn’t belong there.
We eventually gave up, asked for the check, and left without ever receiving our mains—two hours of waiting for nothing.
In summary, Monsieur Dior is a huge disappointment. Despite its fancy aesthetics, it fails spectacularly as a fine dining establishment. If you’re looking for good food and service, this is not the place.
A restaurant that offers elegance, a beautiful design and atmosphere, but most importantly a great food offer. Creative, flavorful and well executed. All starters were 10/10. Service was friendly and professional.
My only comment, the service could have been slightly quicker.
