I came to this PJ’s because I was so impressed with another location, but this visit wasn’t quite the same. My kids ordered the Caramel Cold Brew again (bigger size this time), and they enjoyed theirs. I tried the Southern Wedding Cake with whipped cream — it was okay, but not as sweet or flavorful as I expected.
We had to get beignets again, and while this order came with more pieces than the other PJ’s we visited, the wait was over 15 minutes. What frustrated me was seeing people who ordered after us get their items first.
My husband ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit. It was good, but we didn’t understand why we couldn’t substitute bacon for sausage.
The two ladies working were clearly very busy, but the friendliness and energy we experienced at the other PJ’s just wasn’t there. Overall, the experience was okay, but definitely on the pricey side — about $50 for three drinks, beignets, and a sandwich.
I’d still visit PJ’s again, just maybe not this location.
Barely put any whip cream. The 2 girls working there need a refresher course in customer service.
Bummed out /disappointed
taking a break from pj’s
It’s been quite a ride to see the growth from the Maple & Magazine stores to so many locations, in strip centers & hotels all over the state.
The pastries are good, but not outstanding.
The coffee, on the other hand, is about as good as it gets. Especially the cold brewed, but the hot is no slouch either.
The best thing is that – in my experience – the coffee & service have been outstanding in every location.
