I have ordered pizza from here several times and it’s been reasonably good. However today, Sunday! I ordered the pork chops with potatoes and gravy(to go) and spaghetti and meatballs. First I was supposed to receive a second side of corn and it was not included. The meatballs were overcooked and hard. The pork chops were stale and chewy didn’t have a fresh taste. Potatoes had no flavor at all. Came straight out of a no-name boxed mix. No butter no salt and pepper. I added it when I got home and it’s still very very bland. Garlic bread is just toasted hoagie roll with butter no garlic. Not sure what was going on today but they missed the mark!

I absolutely love Mineral Restaurant. Ive loved it ever since I was a small child. It’s a little dirty, I’m not sure they ever actually really clean it, but I think the good food more then makes up for it. And the plates and silverware aren’t dirty, those are clean. The whole place just has a homely vibe and I always recommend it to people because the food is good and the staff are nice

We stopped here this morning because this is the only restaurant around that serves breakfast other than fast food. First the staff was amazing. Very nice with a southern smile. The restaurant needs a good cleaning for sure. I ordered the BLT and hubby ordered the short stack pancakes and bacon. The food was good. They only accept cash no credit or debit cards here. If they cleaned the restaurant Im sure they would be alot more busy.

I grew up in Louisa and never been to this restaurant. But since I was in town for work at breakfast time I guess today is the day. First the good things. The staff and diners inside were really nice. And the prices were more than reasonable. The not so good was the actual food. Not sure how a whole meal sit down was done in about 3 min. I suspect the sausage and bacon was just reheated in the microwave. And why was the sausage a grayish white in the middle? And sausage gravy was subpar. Also the diner seems very dated (which I guess could be part of it’s charm) and could use a good cleaning. But at the very least the large front windows could be cleaned.

We came in to the restaurant as a very diverse group of around 10 folks for breakfast on a Sunday. The place was packed and the whole restaurant went silent as we went to the end of the room to get us seated.
The staff was very sweet and diligent and the food was delicious! However, the atmosphere and the staring of all the townsfolk to our group made all of us feel very uncomfortable.
We had people of color, migrants, trans and non-binary people on our group and the whole time we were wondering if one of the other customers was going to step up and make a fuss or tell us that we were not welcome there. It was a very stressful and anxiety-inducing experience.
Then again, the restaurant staff and food was great, but if you have a different identity consider going at a different time of the day or the week.
They also only accepted cash.

Service was great. Waitress was friendly and accommodating. Restaurant was somewhat of a dive, but okay for a quick dinner stop. The mashed potatoes were tasteless, the gravy tasted of sour milk, and the chicken had a spoiled taste. My husband had the fried seafood platter and also found the gravy on his mashed potatoes to be “off.”

Love, love, love this place! The owners are the best and the food is great too! I stopped in for breakfast lunch dinner does not matter. Just note that they only accept cash or local checks only. It all you have is a debit card there is an ATM next door at the gas station. I highly suggest stopping at your local bank grabbing out some cash and enjoying a good meal with some great locals. When you eat here it’s like you are eating at home with family.

Mineral Restuarant is one of the last old school diners where you get real food cooked to order. You’ll fine just about something for everyone on here. They always serve with a smile and the service is excellent. Their pizzas are the best in the local area! Give them a try.
