UPDATE: My wife and I visited Colorado Springs again this year. And we promised ourselves that if we ever came back this way our evenings would be spent at the Mill Hill Saloon! We love the place! During this trip, we got the chance to meet and speak with the owner Jimmie Bloom. What a great guy! We danced two nights to the Jeffrey Alan Band. And buddy, did they deliver on the classic country music. Sure wish we had the Mill Hill Saloon down in Alabama. Thanks Jimmie for keeping a little piece of Americana alive and well.
The Mill Hill Saloon rocks! This is my kind of country hole-in-the-wall. It’s not a big place by no means but it is cozy and friendly. The band there the night my wife and I went was amazing! They played lots of good old country songs you could dance to. And the beer was ICE cold. We had a great time! And shut the lights off when we left. The next time I’m in Colorado Springs, you can bet your boots, I’ll be at the Mill Hill Saloon where the good folks are, and the snow flakes aren’t.
