Whenever I come across a CB I make sure to stop in and dine. Food never disappoints, ever! Staff was friendly and helpful. I was hauling my luggage and young lady was kind in letting me park it to the side of my table away from the walkway.

Staff and our waitress had the BEST southern hospitality. Food was very tasty and fresh. The menu we were told, was brand new. They rebranded the menu. No more senior discount menu. The choices and selections were much better, a little pricey. The bacon was better, nice wide slices, not that thin bacon, like they used to serve. The cook made everything like we requested. Kudos to the cook and staff!

The service was very good. The food was not. The sausage wasn’t cooked completely and the gravy portion of the biscuit and gravy was very small. It was not enough to cover half the biscuit.

First off, I’m sorry I can’t remember her name but our server and the store were the best part of this restaurant. The appetizers were pretty good as well. I personally would only recommend getting breakfast food/pancakes from here because everything else was terrible besides the chicken tenders and steak. My grits tasted like they were cooked in tap water, I tried adding butter and sugar to it but it just had this weird after taste no matter what and was watery. Eggs were basic eggs, bacon was tasteless and over cooked and the apples were just nasty. The okra wasn’t seasoned and tasted over cooked as well and the mashed potatoes.. idk what was happening. I know you see the corn bread muffin and biscuit in the background as well and they were hard and dry too. And as I mentioned the store, although cluttered and hard to maneuver through certain parts was the best part. Did it make up for the terrible meal? No. But the butter beer was amazing.

The food was great. Had the country turkey and upgraded the side to the broccoli cheddar casserole. All amazing. The server was sweet, kind and helpful. The bathroom was atrocious. Why so much water around the toilet on the floor? And not big puddles like the toilet was leaking, it was like someone was splashing around in the toilet. And not just one stall but two. And why is the floor so sticky in the bathroom? Also no toilet paper. Just gross.

We were driving by and stopped here for lunch. The place was clean and they were seating people every other table. All of the staff were very friendly and efficient. The staff were all wearing masks and they wiped down the table after people were done.
We got two Grandma’s Samplers and a Chicken Fried Chicken. Everything was delicious, though the breakfast meats were a little bit overcooked. Their fried chicken is still excellent, tender and moist. As a note, the maple syrup is served in tiny glass bottles.
As a side note, I noticed them selling some Squishmallows in the store! They only had the 12″ sizes, but I was still excited to see them .

On a road trip to NC. The Food was beautifully presented. Flavor was slightly lacking. Our server was busy. My hot chocolate tasted like plain hot milk. Turns out it just needed to be stirred. I also wasn’t given a spoon so… I couldn’t stir. I ordered the casserole Shepard’s Pie. The temperature was uneven. The pot roast and gravy was hot. The mashed potatoes were not. We’ll go back with hopes of hotter entrees. I’ll probably stick to breakfast.

This is a wonderful store, restaurant experience. The food is excellent. The service is amazing. And the people are wonderful. I love that this is just next to the interstate. If you are looking for a nice sit-down restaurant that also has some good shopping ideas, clean restrooms and a break from driving, stop at Ashland VA and check out this cool place.

The food came out fast and hot. We had a great breakfast here. I found some options on this menu that’s not on the menu of the Cracker Barrel we usually frequent in my home town so that was refreshing.
They offered a Bacon ‘N’ Egg Casserole hash brown with bacon onion cheese diced tomato and green onions mixed in – my first time seeing it on the menu.
I had the meat biscuits with a side of hash brown casserole – keeping it light because I was driving and didn’t want to get drowsy.
My party had hash brown casserole with apples, Pancakes, country ham, biscuits, eggs and pancakes.
