By far, one of my top five favorite pizza places in San Diego/East County. I’ve eaten a lot of pizza and it is my most favorite food. I got the supreme pizza which was delicious, but due to all of the toppings, the pizza did have a lot of flop, but I also got a pepperoni pizza and it was almost perfection. The pizza had a nice undercarriage with little to no flop and the crust had a beautiful chew to it. My only critique is to use better quality, natural pepperoni other than that. I give this pizza a 9.5 out of 10 for whatever it’s worth.

Tommy’s Pizza & Subs is no longer in business. The local businesses nearby said they shut down a week ago.
My wife and I walked there to get a slice several days ago and the windows are covered in paper.
There is a corner of a Tommy’s sign left inside the window when they ripped the sign down.
I reported the place closed in a edit and attached pictures but Google maps closed the edit and won’t remove the location from Google maps.
Don’t waste your time coming here.

I order pretty much every week from Tommy’s and absolutely love the pizza and sandwiches. I highly recommend for the food. I have always had great service and interactions with the owner, as well as, the young girl who used to work behind the counter. The guys making the pizza even have great attitudes.
Recently, a new woman is running behind the counter. She has an attitude and is unprofessional each time I call to place an order. It’s as if I’m bothering her at her job, by placing an order over the phone. I will say she’s a little nicer in person, but she really brings the good vibes at Tommy’s down.

I ordered the meatball pizza last night from a wonderful young lady who was new and working the front counter. This is the 10th time I have got the meat ball pizza. This time it was GROSS. Meatballs cut flat and dry as a bone. Ordered extra cheese and was not given extra cheese. This is NOT he same owner. There is no way. This was the worst pizza I have ever eaten in my life. Flat, gross, dry, and tasteless. WHAT HAPPENED. I paid 38 dollars for trash. The girl was really nice though.

Calzonis are authentic. I’m picky about my calzone after living on Sardinia. Tommy’s fills the bill. I noticed the fillings (same as toppings) were fresh, and they didn’t taste recently defrosted like most do. Antipasto was also what I expected. Nice folks!

This place is great. I’ve been anxiously waiting to try it and glad I did. The Italian dip was better than the hot beef subs I get when I visit family in upstate New York. It’s like a combination of that and a French dip, my other favorite sub. The wife loved the cold Italian sandwich as well. If you haven’t tried this place, please do! Thanks Tommy’s!!!

Food is amazing, 1st time had the hot Italian meatball sub. Called in on Weds as they have their 50% call in/pick up orders. Must call in and pick up only, did just that. Calculated exact change before hand just to be ready but I also brought an extra $10 just had a feeling it was to good to be true. Got to tommys to pick up, he was super polite told him I was there to pick up the meat ball sub. Sal told me to order over the phone next time it is cheaper, which I did just to get the 50%. He gave me a complexed look and nodded ok, ask what the damage was and to my surprise it was full price $12 and some change. Food is amazing no complaints there, just a little more attention to detail and honoring their specials.

Pizza by the slice or whole pies, the quality is fantastic, sauce that actually has flavor, toppings that actually taste like proper Italian meats and they don’t skimp on the cheese, these are heavy pies. The daily specials keep the price beyond competitive, and the service keeps my lunch breaks on time. I can not recommend this place enough.

I’ve been in California for 10 years and I finally found the perfect, delicious pizza. The cheese and the thin crust were absolutely the best. Extremely friendly owner and staff. You really have to try this restaurant. You will not be disappointed. Also, you must try their cannolis. Absolutely the best.
