Nice new Japanese restaurant. Excellent delicious food, very good service and pleasant atmosphere. We enjoyed our lunch and will be back. Highly recommend to try this restaurant. It is more of a high end, expensive but worth it. Lunch menu is very reasonably priced and you get a lot of high quality food. Dinner menu has some great options and is more for a special occasion. Enjoy!

Being around Apex awhile you come to know what places you go to for what things. Taki Sushi is right there in the middle between your quick “by one get one” places and unique, upscale Japanese places that you go for those special occasions. The food is generally, good. Each dish is unique and flavorful. The highlights for us were the fried rice and the Otoro Spoons(don’t skip these), sushi was also really good and reminded me of Sushi Mon in Raleigh. Service was good, but I felt the food came quicker than expected. The bar isn’t up and running yet, but we were sampled some delicious wine that paired well with the seafood. After the bill, the prices are definitely creeping towards upscale, but I just can’t put it there just yet, maybe when the get more settled. Regardless, this spot is solid and the closest, newest Japanese hot spot in the area and is worth a regular visit.

This newly opened sushi restaurant is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood, delivering a dining experience that truly stands out. The quality of the sushi is exceptional and genuinely matches the level of sushi I regularly enjoy in Japan, from the freshness of the fish to the precise balance of rice and seasoning. Each piece is thoughtfully prepared to highlight the natural flavors, showing clear attention to detail and craftsmanship. The menu offers a great mix of classic selections and creative choices, while the service is warm, attentive, and unhurried. Combined with a clean, modern atmosphere, this restaurant makes it easy to forget you’re not dining in Japan.

Taki is such a gem. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Everything we ordered was spot on, and the portions were generous without feeling heavy. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell they really care about the experience they’re giving people. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to and recommending to others!

I had pretty high expectations given the reviews. Unfortunately Taki just didn’t live up to them, and I’m not sure if it’s because it was Monday lunch or if their food is always this way.
The good: Flavor of the poke in the lunch sushi dish was good. I like the atmosphere/decor.
The bad: The rice in the nigiri and rolls was completely unseasoned, and a little overcooked. As a result, the sushi all tasted very bland. The Sweetwater roll flavors did not mix. The ground meat that came with my wife’s lettuce wraps was dry and overcooked, and the lettuce pieces were too small to actually use for wraps.
We probably won’t go back unless we hear from a friend that our experience was the exception. The rice is pretty unforgivable. It would certainly be difficult to imagine paying $100 for the omakase.

We were looking for a great sushi place since we moved to NC from NY and this place is amazing. Food is very fresh, the rolls were amazing, the shrimp were crunchy and delicious. Highly recommend. Plus it’s right by Harris Teeter so you can do your grocery shopping on the same trip. Enjoy

We tried Taki with the family for the first time and the quality exceeded our expectations. We tried the Toro Tatare, hamachi chilli, Yosemite roll, angel roll, lobster bao buns, and the regular spicy tuna roll- everything was delicious and presented perfectly. Highly recommended. Totally worth the price!
