If you’ve ever been overwhelmed by The Cheesecake Factory menu, you’ll get the vibe here—an enormous menu with a ton of options.
The food is truly authentic and mostly packed with flavor. The chorizo was a standout, while the carne asada was a little under-seasoned for our taste. Luckily, the salsa station offers a great variety, and it’s easy to adjust the heat and flavor to your liking.
Overall, we had a really positive experience, and the staff was helpful in navigating the menu. We’ll be back and would absolutely recommend it.

The taco Tuesday special was chicken tacos and I got my rice and beans. I don’t know what to say. It was fine, not really seasoned good amount of chicken and the fries with pork belly was similar it was OK but meat was not flavorful but not bland just aight.

Service was okay, but food is not good at all would’ve got a 5 star regardless of service if food was good but it wasn’t authentic at all. Fish tacos were like frozen fish sticks, our hard taco shells were hard shells you’d get at Walmart definitely not worth $42

We have been coming to Jalapeño Tacos for years well before it was a sit down establishment and on wheels in the parking lot only there three days a week. The food is amazing and affordable. Service is fast and always spot on. If you’re up north of the river looking for some good Latino eats stop in I’d bet you a shrimp taco you won’t be disappointed!!! Ever!

My husband liked his burrito and was very impressed with the size of it (bigger than chipotle), however the meat on my tacos was bland (especially the chicken). The steak was low quality and the beef was so finely ground up, it was straight mush (texture was similar to Mugs Up in Independence). The salsa was just “okay” – nothing to write home about. The burrito was a great deal cost wise, however I feel like the tacos were not worth the money. The taco pricing wasn’t legible on the menu— the $2 looked like a $7, so I thought it was $7.99 for 4-5 tacos, when actually it was $2.99 PER taco. The menu was misleading— it showed a picture of 4-5 tacos so it wasn’t clear if you get multiple tacos for the price, or if the price is per taco.

Absolutely best Mexican food in town. Closest to Californian Mexican food that I miss when stationed in San Diego. And best of them all you can also get all the dessert cravings next door!!! Strawberries and cream, pineapple/mango drink, and tacos are best!!! And the sauce bar is to die for.

Normally, this place is great. But didn’t have the most pleasant experience tonight. I had to sit and wait for my food for 45 minutes because they lost my ticket. Only was checked in on after standing there awkwardly for 35 minutes. Then wasn’t even offered a free drink or anything to make up for it. it was a little upsetting because three street tacos came out to over $12.

Great flavor and it was definitely a locals hot spot. It was very busy for lunch. They are quick and helpful so the wait didn’t seem bad. They have a big screen tv for sports and a foosball table. My tacos were loaded with meat, so seemed like a good value for lunch. There’s a salsa bar where you can add your own sauce to your orders. I thought the hottest sauce had the best flavor. The green one and the red one were kinda meh for me. This place is worth a try for sure.

This was the restaurant I had been looking for. My son and I really enjoyed our meals. I had steak street tacos and my son had chicken huarches. No complaints. Loved the salsa bar. Will definitely be back!

Floor was filthy.
Workers’ children running around in store.
Lady taking our order didn’t speak English & missed 1 item. My husband’s shrimp Diablo was EXTREMELY messy because they cooked the s shrimp in a red sauce with the shells ON – it was impossible to eat without making a huge mess.
The tamale was mostly masa.
The chalupa/tostada was good.
