The staff was very friendly knowledgeable and welcoming starting with Dave the front of the house host. The food was delicious and plentiful. Service was impeccable. The coffee was delicious and not bitter. Plenty of parking, and the prices are reasonable and not over inflated. We will definitely make this our go-to place whenever we’re in the Phoenix, Arizona area.

OMG-how did we ever find hidden gems like this when traveling before review sites like this!
As we drove north I couldn’t really remember why I jotted this spot down for breakfast as it seemed a bit out of the way-but once we arrived inside, it was clear. This surfing theme breakfast joint run by a retired surfer from Cali who reported being in the restaurant business for over 50 years when I chatted with him. (Hint he’s the tall retiree wearing a Hawaiian shirt and checking in with everyone).
The menu has an endless list of almost every breakfast concoction imaginable from buttery flakey biscuits, pancakes, cinnamon rolls eggs and a host of Mexican specialties, chicken and waffles as well as other items. Judging from all the benches outside, there’s probably a wait at times to get in although on a Monday at 8 am we got a cozy booth without a problem. It was still busy but no wait at that time.
Staff is friendly and food comes out quickly. My raspberry cream crepes were a nice change of pace and my wife was pleased to be able to just order 2 poached eggs with avocado and a biscuit.
Prices are reasonable although make sure you have cash as this is a CASH ONLY restaurant.
The interior is all surfing memorabilia -bright and cheery. In the end well worth the 15 min drive north.

A laid back beach themed breakfast spot with tip top service and excellent food! I had the Chicken Fried Steak which was enormous and came with eggs potatoes and pancakes. A feast for a king or a whole kingdom. My wife had the French toast which came with eggs and a choice of meat she went with the sausage and was glad she did.
The coffee was excellent. And my cup was never below half full before our server was there to top it off.
We waited about 30 minutes outside on the covered patio, where they had a couple of surf boards and a pink flamingo for ambiance.
Inside was packed of course but there didn’t seem to be any chaos at all. Every one knew what their job was and did it well. A well oiled machine. We’ll be back!

This was our first time here and it was absolutely incredible. All of the staff were amazing. The Birria tacos were out of this world which I was not expecting for a little breakfast joint. Probably the best Birria tacos I’ve had! We also had the Hawaiian pancakes GF style and they were delicious. Not overly sweet even though they look like they would be. They were very well balanced and fluffy. This is a cash only restaurant which we found out after, but they have an ATM at the front door with no fees 🙂 We will definitely be back!

Nice outdoor seating area while you wait for your table. Sometimes they have live outdoor music which helps pass the time. It can be a long wait time but well worth it. Once inside the service is friendly and accommodating. Servers seem to be happy to be there. Everything on the menu is delicious and fresh ingredients that reflect in the flavor. This time I ordered the special of chimichurri steak and eggs with home fries. The steak was delicious no fat or nerve endings and seasoned well. I recommend ordering the Dutch boy for dessert and sharing. Usually takes about 30 minutes.

I consider myself a tough critic on food and restaurants in general. Service was phenomenal and the cinnamon roll was the best I have ever had! Better than my mother’s, and that is saying quite a bit! Very impressed. Owner was there and you could tell he genuinely cared for the place. Highly recommend!

This is, hands down, my favorite breakfast spot in the Valley. It’s a trek for me, and if you go during peak hours there is typically a wait. I promise it is well worth the drive and the wait. Everything tastes scratch made and the servers and ambience is friendly, inviting and cozy. I have been coming here for years and have NEVER had a bad experience or not enjoyed what I’ve ordered. Try the shrimp and grits, chicken fried steak and the homemade pop tart, you wont be disappointed!

First time going there, we are not local and we were so impressed with every thing we ordered!! My husband absolutely loved his Clilequlies said it was the best he’s ever had from a restaurant! Our server was Lanna and she was EVERYTHING! She really went above and beyond and showed us hospitality like were in her own home! We will recommend this place to anyone for not only their food but their amazing service! What a place! We cannot say enough!

I love a classic breakfast spot, and this place fits the bill. When I’m traveling, finding a local eatery is good I like to start my day; that’s how I ended up here.
The place was packed, always a good sign, but they had room for me to sit immediately at the counter. I went with the Two Egg Breakfast with Bacon. They were delicious! The coffee was good, too.
Service was top notch and the whole vibe was lively, which makes me happy. When I come back to Phoenix, I’m definitely coming back.
One side note, they’re a cash only restaurant, but have a “no-fee” ATM at the front.

Food was bland.
This place was a fun brunch spot to go on Sunday morning, our service here was amazing, we had Alex as a server and she had a fantastic attitude and was very attentive, but we found the food to be very bland and tasteless, it came out looking amazing, but we just weren’t a fans of the flavor.
We probably won’t come back, but not because of the experience or staff, but because of the food.
