I was told the style of food here is made with bone in chicken. I ordered ACP with shrimp It did take 2 tries to get it out right. Very quick to serve food. Quality

I was in the Charlotte area visiting the day ater Hurricane Helene and a lot of restaurants had power outages but I was so hungry after a long flight looking for something tasty at 10:00 p.m. Tavern 51 had pretty good reviews and I’m glad I checked the place out because the food was delicious! The bartender was friendly and gave helpful menu recommendations. They have different sauces and dry rubs for the chicken wings. Their shrimp fried rice was fresh and tasty! Great spot to hit up when you need some late night deliciousness. A bit pricey but it was worth it to to me since the food was good.

I’m beginning to believe that people who are leaving poor reviews are being very dishonest. We have been to this establishment countless times and never had a bad experience with the food or the customer service. We’ve dined and carried out, and the food quality never dropped. We have to travel for over an hour one way, so trust and believe that if this place wasn’t good, we wouldn’t keep making the trip.

Came out for the first time for a bite and quick drink after work. Jai was our bartender/server she was very attentive, super friendly, explained the menu front to back, and had us cracking up! We will definitely be back. A great spot to decompress after work!!!

Nice bar with plenty televisions for entertainment. The bartender Tabatha was pleasant, helpful and fast ! We were lucky to have ordered from the kitchen because it was late and had the wings – they were nice and not over cooked ! The beef and brocolli was fantastic. Absolutely delicious and I wouldn’t even think to have that at a bar but it was worth it

Unfortunate when the only leadership in the building is an absolute ignoramus with zero hospitality skills. A neighborhood favorite and 13+ years of tried and true turned into an absolute nightmare and we won’t return.
Ordered a seafood special only to receive (which we understand it could be a distributor issue) crab leg clusters with nothing in them. The bartender was great and they mentioned the kitchen would fire another cluster to make up the difference.
…..it was frozen……still completely frozen…..
We asked for either another cluster cooked thoroughly and instead we received a 10% discount and no other resolution.
On top of everything, we love seeing a grown man take zero accountability for serving undercooked seafood in their establishment.
10% off for being served undercooked seafood….
The boil is 2 crab clusters, 10 shrimp, 2 potato’s, and 2 corn….
We paid $40 for shrimp and vegetables…
Terrible.
Don’t eat here if Peter is working—you’ll either be disrespected or served raw food and told that you’re the one that’s wrong.

Main reason why I’m giving this bar 5 stars:
1) Best clams i ever tasted… ever
2) customer service was good and bartender was nice.
This is a bar with your expected drinks/mixes however if you are looking for a large selection of beers, look somewhere else.
The kitchen food made up for the other shortcomings.

Having a fun evening watching college football, eating dinner and drinking beer. I had the Smoking Blonde sandwich on a croissant with turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and cheese and fries. Everything was hot and fresh; fries were a large portion too. I usually make two meals out of it, so that’s a great value for me. The beer was great too: cold and at just $5 for a draft pint – that can’t be beat. Tonight’s bartender, Alina, was awesome too: fast, very attentive, and friendly. Service was very quick too: Peter was cooking solo and still served hot, tasty food. This place is quite a gem on the border of South Charlotte and Pineville! Also love that the kitchen is open late night until 12:30 AM – great for late night munchies.
