The restaurant has a nice vibe and the tables / booths are large allowing plenty of room which is nice not having a bunch of dishes covering the table. All of the pork dishes are fantastic. The beef is okay with bulgogi and short rib the better option since the “steak” options are not actually marinated or seasoned, so it’s just plain. Guess I could have used sauce from the bar. Overall a great experience and the waiters don’t stand over you or cook it for you if that matters.

It was very good and not as expensive as you think. I like the concept, your menu comes with 2 sides, a soup side and a bbq side. You can pick to eat from only one side for $29.99 or both sides for $33.99. I advise to eat only off the bbq side unless… you can handle a whole portion of soup and still have room for the bbq side, go for it. I did I asked for about 1 of everything! Worth it 100%

The shrimp was served clearly not fresh and had a distinct, strong odor of spoilage. While getting sauce we observed a small flying insect landing on and around the fruit and dessert section.

First of all, the meat quality was okay, but not great. The buffet area was worse than any hot pot or BBQ restaurant I’ve visited. I’ve eaten at this type of restaurant in at least 20 cities across several countries, including the U.S., so I have plenty to compare it with.
The service was extremely frustrating. Our server kept bringing items we never ordered. Meanwhile, when we tried to order just one additional meat dish, we had to wait about 15-20 minutes. She walked past our table 3–4 times while serving only three small tables (2–3 people each) including us, repeatedly telling us to “wait a minute.” Her role seemed to be only taking orders while someone else brought the food, yet it was still difficult to get service.
To make matters worse, we were charged for Wagyu items that we never ordered and were never brought to our table. When we pointed this out, she said she had already removed the item but refused to provide a detailed receipt. I had to ask twice, and the charge was still not removed.
Overall, this was the worst restaurant experience we’ve had in the Charlottesville area.

Amazing KBBQ place, better than 90% of the KBBQs in northern Virginia. Dual hot pot-KBBQ so you can make your own sauce buffet-style. Dishes are ordered in bulk allowing self-pacing, much better than having to wait for the server every time you want a new dish. Price is amazing, especially for lunch. Galbi is no extra charge and the bulgogis are fantastic. Could not recommend more and I hope it never changes.

This is my first time eating here and I was surprised about how fast their service is. Really quick, I just ordered our meat and less than a minute it is already on my table. And they are very consistent with every order. Also the food is so satisfying and made me so full in my belly. Our waiter also took an extra step of service when my wife asked for a Taro smoothie, though it is not in their menu, our waiter made a very delicious Taro Smoothie, her name is Rio. And the price of the food is very reasonable for the amount of food choices.

We had BBQ lunch here on Dec 31st with my guests. I found this experience was a genuine disappointment. First, bad communication. I made a reservation but they seated my guests away from us. It took me a while to realize my guests were there but on another table. Second, poor design of BBQ table. We had a party of 6 for BBQ, there was only one stove to cook and the stove was so far from the inside seats so it was hard to pass food. Third, worst service I ever had. The waiter only served water once, took orders and brought food to us. That was it. Never came back for anything… I didn’t know we need to cook ourselves until we started. For the same type of restaurants in Northern VA, someone cooks for you and distribute food to everyone. All you need is to enjoy it. In addition to that, food was not fresh. The sauce was plain and didn’t taste good at all. Last thing was the most ridiculous, tip was automatically charged at 20% when checking out and they asked for extra tip on the bill… I won’t pay one cent to this type of service at all if I had the time to talk to them. Go to BulPan if you like Korean BBQ.

The quality of the meats is excellent, with each cut flavorful and well-prepared. One thing that could elevate the experience would be a signature or special cut unique to the restaurant. A standout cut would be great for regulars and new guests alike to recommend as a must-try. Overall, though, it’s an enjoyable place for Korean BBQ, and we’ll definitely be back!
