My husband and I had an exceptional experience celebrating my birthday.
From appetizers, main dishes,sides to dessert, the flavor was spot on and seasoned perfectly.
Our server Kate what so attentive despite the busy Saturday night seatings. Chef Johnny was so kind to come to my table to say hello with special treats.
Ginger crème brûlée designed by Chef Tanya Matta was exceptional!
Highly recommended ; one of the top five restaurants in Savannah for exceptional food and dining experience.

I visited Stone & Webster Chophouse this past Thursday to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. As an employee of the JW Marriott, I wanted to experience one of our amenities from the customer’s perspective. I expected it to be nice, but I did not expect such exceptional service and quality across the board.
From start to finish, everything was outstanding. The food was absolutely phenomenal — the steaks were perfectly cooked, the sides were flavorful, and the appetizers and desserts made for a complete, memorable meal. Kayleh, our server, went above and beyond. She was attentive, thoughtful, and truly helped make my daughter’s evening special.
If they treat an employee with this level of care and attention, I can only imagine how wonderfully they treat every guest. My only small critique would be that the mocktails were a bit plain, but that was minor compared to how excellent everything else was.
I highly recommend dining here — especially trying the tasting menu, which offers an excellent snapshot of their culinary talent. You’ll get a full, well-balanced meal at a reasonable price — and you won’t be disappointed.

My wife and I went to Stone & Webster on Thanksgiving Day, which was our first night in town. The staff at the host station were very friendly and even were able to seat us fifteen or so minutes prior to our reservation.
The inside of the restaurant is set up in halves. The front half overlooks the kitchen and is one I would definitely not recommend due to the hustle and bustle of the area. Thankfully, we were sat in the back area which was down a short walkway past the restrooms.
The atmosphere in the back half is quite cozy and inviting. Our server, whose name I wish I could remember because he was great, was very attentive and took time to recommend other places around the Savannah area to visit and eat at.
We both ordered the filet mignon and we added the shareable side of mashed potatoes. Unlike some places we have been the portion was definitely enough to share. The potatoes were very creamy and could not have been better. The same went for both of our steaks, which were juicy, tender, and cooked to perfection.
All in all Stone & Webster was an absolute wonderful dinner and evening. If we ever go back to the Savannah area it will definitely be on the list of restaurants to return to.

We have been here many times and have never been disappointed. Tonight we brought our son and daughter in law for the first time. And our steal of outstanding experiences continued this evening. From the food to the service to the vibes, everything was amazing, per usual. Our kids absolutely loved it as well. And we had a great time celebrating them as a newly engaged couple. We will be back for sure!

The food was amazing. My wife and I celebrated our elopement there and the staff was great and congratulated us and gave us some great macaroons. We both ordered the filet minion and not joking probably the best steak we have ever order. We went here for our one year anniversary and decided to come back to celebrate our elopement and we are glad we did. AMAZING people, AMAZING food and great ambiance.

I’ve waited a week to leave this review. My expectations were met and then exceeded. I don’t have that much faith in a lot of Chatham County restaurants as a foodie and fine dining connoisseur but Stone & Webster chophouse is absolutely exceptional! They stand out and are above par in every way. The high end culinary scene has been slacking lately as taste and harmony is sacrificed for aesthetics and average service. My man and I enjoyed everything we consumed. Each course was immensely enjoyable and was both a piece of art and flavor exploration.Jen was so helpful and informed us of everything on the menu. We felt important to all hosts and wait staff. I have been reliving this experience all week. I’d highly recommend.

This post is comparing SW to other high end steak houses I have eaten at around the country. When going to a higher end restaurant you pay for food and service. This failed on the service end, however the food was good enough to recommend maybe checking it out. Stayed the weekend at the JW which is amazing and wanted to stay in for a nice dinner for a birthday celebration. Got there at reservation time and got sat at a table for 4, even though there were 2 of us. The extra place settings took a while to be removed (they should always have your table set for your reservation). Service started good, orders were taken and drinks served. Water was very slow to be refilled and waiter was absent to check on drinks. Good came, salmon and filet, which was very well done. Didn’t see waiter again for anything. Water ran out, drinks ran out, no one around. The tables next to us all started to look at each other wondering why there was no wait staff. This is not acceptable for a place that comes off as a high end steak house. Waiter returned after a noticeable absence and took desert and drink orders. Which ended up being wrong. We paid our bill and left. The customers around us all felt it was horrible service as well. Positives – food was really pretty good, atmosphere was elegant industrial.
