A very nice and cozy family style Italian Restaurant in the east end of Lock Haven serving delicious Italian and American dishes. The Village Tavern is a great place to dine when craving amazing homemade Italian cuisine. The Braciole was outstanding as was the Tour of Italy. They even made our daughter a special dish of their homemade ravioli in Alfredo sauce. The desserts were delicious as well. The service was fast and friendly and our meals were out super fast even with a packed house. I would recommend reservations over the weekend for sure!

If you’re in the area, rustic central PA, and craving for a good Italian meal, this is the place for you. They are located not far off I-80. Be aware that they may get busy during the peak hours over weekends.
The menu offering contains a wide range of classic Italian dishes. Portions were large, and pricing is reasonable. Staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. They do offer private party catering inhouse. So if you have a special event or celebration, this place could be a good option.

If youre into fast marathon eating this is a place for you. Made reservations for a special occasion. Arrived 5 min. prior. Sat down and the race began. We had a cocktail, appetizer, salad and main course SERVED ALL AT THE SAME TIME. I asked if she could slow it down and it fell on deaf ears. Never again ! Service was rude and inappropriate. ( there was no one waiting to be seated.)

When I went it was prom night and even with all the high school proms and college graduations and everything else going on in town they still were able to have great service and food out in a timely manner I love the true authentic Italian atmosphere and food they have in their restaurant

The best Italian food ever. Kay uses family recipes and is the lead cook. Lasagna is only available 2 nights a week so check first. It’s fantastic.

A modest brick walled tavern with a very good cook and bartender… we didn’t expect much but the service was good ,the steaks and appetizers were perfectly cooked and the dessert martinis were delicious… it’s not worth a special trip but if you’re in lock haven definitely give it a try

Everything was perfect! We are an Italian family and we love to cook. I am not usually satisfied with “restaurant” Italian food but this is an exception. We had gnocchi and Fran’s eggplant and both were awesome! Service was above and beyond!

Charming restaurant. Staff was so welcoming! Immediate service. Bread with olive oil dip delicious. Hubby had homemade cheese ravioli and I had clams in white sauce . Soooooo good! Very generous portions, enough for lunch the next day. Coconut cake and triple chocolate chip were perfect end. Now we understand why friends love it here!
