a lot to compare but I did enjoy the meal although veal is not my favorite. I think I would have enjoyed that dish with a different choice of meat as well as a linguini or angel hair pasta instead of the penne. The rustico also had a very nice flavor although not as strong of one as my dish had. I did like the bow tie pasta in that dish. Both meals came with a salad made with their own house dressing. Pretty simple salad but tasted good. We decided to get a dessert which is also shipped from a bakery I think from New York but not definite on that one. We got a limencello cake which was outstanding. The lemon was very strong and flavorful. We really enjoyed our time there and you can tell the customers really enjoy their time there. We will definitely be back to try other meals.
My dad enjoyed his 64th & 65th birthday here.
The food is amazing as it always is!
And the deserts are just AMAZING!
We love the family feel here and how niche and unique it is!
For dinner, linguine and clams,Chicken Cutlet Parmesan and eggplant combo, chicken franchise, and lasagna each dish was cooked to perfection. The portions are huge and it Tasted like it came straight out of a New York kitchen. It is a family owned an operated restaurant which makes it that much better. I literally felt like I was home. Talk about nostalgia, there are pictures of the whole family all over the place, and Italy Etc! I’d recommend this restaurant for every single occasion from romantic to birthdays…
We were very lucky to get in there without a reservation. We were told you usually need a week or more to get the time that you would like, so definitely call ahead. Also definitely save room for dessert. They make the best Tiramisu you will ever have in your life, It is their mother‘s recipe and Jackie is definitely making their Mom proud.
You will also have the pleasure of having the family members who are the staff come around and personally treat you just like family.
These ladies are a legacy!
You will not be disappointed!!
Correction: to the restaurant, thank you for responding honestly. You are absolutely correct, that was meant for a similar Italian restaurant we went to while in Orlando.
However, we did go to your restaurant on 8/29 on the day we returned with friends. Your restaurant is amazing. The waitress was incredibly descriptive and on top of things. She knew that menu inside out & backwards. Our drink glasses were always full. We had the artichoke cheesy dip appetizer which I could eat as a meal, my mouth salivates thinking of it. I got an incredibly delicious chicken & pasta dish, both men at our table got the pasta dish with spicy sausage and left their dishes looking like they licked them clean. They both used the homemade bread to sop up the leftover sauce. Our friends wife had a fish piccata over linguini and loved it. We had a chocolatey dessert that we basically fought over. They had a lemony one if I remember correctly, I was overly focused on my dessert. My only regret is that I didn’t take pictures and that I confused the two places but both were delicious and both deserved glowing reviews. We live locally and will definitely be returning. Sorry for the confusion, my brain must have still been on vacation.
This last visit (last spring), though, really crossed a line. We took out six family members for a birthday and ordered generously. When the bill came, it wasn’t itemized and the total seemed high. We asked if gratuity had already been added, and the owner/server insisted it hadn’t. Only when we requested an itemized bill did she come back apologizing for “accidentally” including the tip.
It was obvious it wasn’t an accident.
That kind of dishonesty is disappointing, especially from a place we’ve supported for so long. It turned what should have been a special celebration into an uncomfortable ending. Sadly, we are done.
