Easily one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve been to. The buffet has a wide selection and the food is amazing. Very good and friendly service.

Buffet is quite impressive. GO EARLY. BEFORE CLOSING, otherwise they run out of certain items and do not replenish. Service is friendly and on the spot! We spent probably an average of $20 / person, for two of us. The food was absolutely exquisite!

I dine there about once per month overall mostly acceptable except sometimes food temperature is room temperature at best not hot egg rolls overly dried out. Usually the same menu on buffet without variety. Lemon chicken would be nice but it’s never available. Four stars and I’m being honest.

We popped in about 7pm and closing time is 9pm. Was surprised to find the food warm and they have a thanksgiving special going on right now that we were really surprised with!

When you describe restaurants you need to compare them to similar dining experiences in the region. It is not fair to compare a Chinese restaurant in the Kentucky with Chinese restaurants in San Francisco’s Chinatown. When compared to other restaurants in Kentucky, Peking is an exceptionally good buffet.
It offers most of the dishes you expect to find. What makes it stand out is that almost every item is better prepared than you might expect. On two visits the Mandarin Chicken was tender and tasty. The spring and egg rolls crisp and fresh. The quality of most items exceeded the typical buffet.
The atmosphere adds to an enjoyable meal. Like the sister Peking restaurant in Pikeville, it is well decorated and clean. Both are excellent stops for travelers wanting something different.

About everything from the buffet taste like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours and after I ask them if they was bringing out more chicken they did about 2 hads full of the mandarin orange and General Tso’s chicken but none of the other chicken and I was told it was because they was getting ready for dinner. Well you need to take care of the people that is already there eating before you start catering to people that’s not even there yet. This really was a bad visit for me I enjoy chinese food but I’ll be damed if I pay for food that’s hard as a rock again. I suggest you go in and look at the buffet before making a commitment to eating there. If it’s fresh it’s delicious but if not it’s horrible

I visited this establishment on 8/29/20. The service was fine, and the waiter was friendly. The selection was very limited, though I’m willing to concede that this is to be expected in the current climate of the world, however the lack of hibachi was a real let down, as this is my favorite thing. The issue I have arose when the check arrived. The bill was for two dinner buffets for my wife and myself, when it arrived the bill was about 29$. This didn’t make sense to me since the buffet was advertised at 11.24$ per person, drink included. Even after taxes this shouldn’t be nearly 30$. Upon inspection I realized that there had been a 18% tip added to not only my check, but also the check of the couple sharing a table with me. I had not approved this, nor had they. I intended to tip the server anyway, but took exception to it being forced upon me. I assumed it must have been a mistake. I went to pay the check and voiced this to the cashier to be told “We’re doing that right now.” I inquired as to why and my answer was “Well we’re not making a lot right now”. It seems that since business is slow they’ve decided to add a manditory 18% grituity to every check. When I got upset she told me that it was posted and pointed to a 8×10 piece of paper where it was written on an asterisk at the bottom. This is deceitful and frankly just wrong. This defeats the whole purpose of a tip. This business has lost my patronage for life and I hope that this advises people of the shady practices they’re engaging in. If business is slow then raise the price of your buffet, don’t try to sneak a tip onto each person’s bill hoping they wouldn’t notice.

Food at this place was ok. Noodle were dry and old. The pepper steak tasted salt and steak . The one in pikevill is better I think; However this place has more variety.
