Came a second time and tried different dishes – pad thai, hung lay and the fried chicken appetizer. It was good! We also noticed that around 630pm to 7pm is when the crowd starts coming in. So call to make an appointment or just drop in by 630pm!
The service was attentive and welcoming, which made the meal even more enjoyable.
The décor is simple and unpretentious — it almost feels like dining in a cozy canteen, which gives it a relaxed and comfortable vibe. If you’re looking for flavorful food without the fuss, I definitely recommend giving them a try!
Our server was attentive and pleasant to deal with. Can’t wait to go back to try some other options off their menu.
Service was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, with staff happy to offer recommendations and explain dishes.
I’d pass on the dumplings next time. The sauce was too sweet.
Chang Beer
Despite being on a busy street the the seemed to try to create an ambience
Trying to use plants to hid busy windows and bathroom door
Could use a little partition to break the room up a bit. Looking at the bathroom door isn’t ideal.
Other than that I loved it. Staff was super helpful
Food can do with some more seasoning. Was not spicy enough I guess. Tasty though.
Outdoor counter seating available.
Weekdays can also have 15-20 mins wait times to be seated.
Parking can be tricky. It does wrap around the restaurant but might need to wait for a spot sometimes.
Neighboring convenience store parking is not available.
They just opened a few months back so not much indoor decor but still a cozy place for dinner.
Definitely worth a try.
Prices are reasonable.
One note for the kitchen: The papaya salad is way too sweet and could use more spice. But we understand ya’ll might be catering to western taste buds 😉
What really stood out from what we tried:
Pla Scallop – so good we had to order 2! The spice was and flavor was
Banana Blossom Salad – was also a table favorite
Old School Pad Thai – it’s hard to find a good pad Thai that isn’t mushy and has great flavor, they got it down!
Hung Lay – braised porkbelly curry! Rich in flavor and the curry is not the typical thick sauce, which I liked.
We will be back to try more items like the Killer Noodles for an extra spicy day.
The Killer Noodles lived up to the name—incredibly flavorful and topped with delicious breaded chicken. We also loved the Stir-fry Bok Choy; the sauce was so good we were dipping our chicken in it! To top it off, the Thai Iced Tea was easily one of the best I’ve ever had.
The Curry Crab was also good but was more fried like a wonton which made it a little hard to find the crab. Overall, though, it was a delicious meal with a high-energy ambiance. We’ll definitely be back to try other dishes.
