Went to a preview of Kyle’s Corner (Former Industrial Donut in Savoy) today before their grand opening. I think this place is going to be awesome. The falafel had more spice than normal, that was a pleasant surprise. Everything else we tried was fantastic (Mediterranean Plate appetizer, Gyro Cheesesteak, Pesto Chicken Wrap). Even brought home a piece of baklava. We can’t wait to go back to see the full official menu.

I always try to support local businesses, so I will start with the good.
The tzatziki and hummus were solid, and the staff was friendly and attentive. That is where the positives ended for us.
We ordered two gyros, and my kid ordered a cheesesteak with cheese curds on the side. A gyro runs about $12 and does not come with a side. The cheesesteak, without additional toppings, was over $13.
The portion sizes were generous, but everything lacked flavor. The fries barely had any salt. The meat had a strange aftertaste, which may have been due to a new grill. The cheese curds were average.
We really wanted to like this place. However, at $66 before tip (over $70 after tip), the food did not match the price. There are stronger options in the area at a much better value.

Shared a meal with friends at Kyle’s tonight. The meal was fantastic! I recommend the cheese curds! The OG gyro was great; the meat was tender and flavorful, the pita was soft and warm, and the toppings were fresh and delicious. Our server was attentive and very kind. The owner was present and injected a fun, family-friendly presence with fun banter and a gift card giveaway! Would highly recommend!
