Convenient place to pick up a snack at the Lodge
This is located inside the Lodge at Callaway Gardens. The Lodge has 3 separate food options to include the Piedmont restaurant, Cason’s Taproom and this place. It is located in from of the other 2 places and across the lobby from the check-in desk. It is on the other side of the fireplace that is visible from the front entrance. I liked the look of it. It looks like a cafeteria with a display case and service counter. It is open with a black and white floor and several food options. We stopped by this place twice when we stayed at the lodge. THe first time, we waited for the food to be prepared near the fireplace and the server was nice enough to bring out our food. The second time the lady behind the counter was not as pleasant. The food choices include pizzas, sandwiches and snacks from breakfast through dinner. We got a breakfast sandwich and a lunch sandwich and some coffees (they serve Starbucks). The location was clean and there were several tables inside or places by the fire. The prices were reasonable and the food was good. Overall, it is a good choice for a quick bite if you are hungry and at the lodge.
