The Cashew Lounge is a gem that never disappoints. My wife and I have enjoyed cocktails here countless times and dined on multiple occasions, and every visit has been exceptional. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between cozy and upscale, making it an ideal spot for both casual drinks and special occasions.
The service is always top-notch. Attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. The menu constantly evolves, introducing exciting new dishes while maintaining a standard of excellence. We’ve never had a bad meal, but one standout was the cheese wheel we shared on Valentine’s Day an indulgent, beautifully presented dish that was as delicious as it was memorable.

Amazing food, found this restaurant on accident. Fried Burrata was incredible as was the French Onion Soup. Main course was the grilled peach pork chop, wow. Service was outstanding. It’s a restaurant on one side and a bar on the other, two completely different vibes with very different but equally good menus.

We were introduced to a tasting of The Cashew Lounge on a wine train event we attended in Carbondale this past Fall. We have been wanting to get to the actual restaurant since then and decided it was a nice sunny Sunday why not take a ride today as we live about 40 minutes away. So glad we did, it was so worth the trip. The food was top notch, the service was fabulous! Everyone was attentive and knowledgeable and some of the friendliest staff we have ever encountered in a restaurant. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable and clean! The food from appetizer to dessert was A+. We had the Buffalo Chicken Empanadas as an appetizer, homemade and sooo good!. I had the Gnocchi in Vodka Sauce as my entree and it came with choice of soup , I chose the Tomato Basil. Wow, no words , both were wonderful. My husband also chose the Tomato Basil soup and as his Entree chose the Chicken Parmesan over pasta which had a nice twist, it was served with Vodka Sauce instead of the usual red sause. He thought it was delicious! If you leave here hungry that’s definitely on you, the portions are huge and we both brought home leftovers. We couldn’t resist the Creme Brulee Donut dessert special OMG!! As a side note I never know what kind of cocktail I want order, so I simply said, surprise me with something sweet and fun! They sure did deliver , a chocolate covered strawberry martini , it was so yummy. Thanks for being so playful with my request, most places just kind of give me a look , lol. We even got to chat with the owner, such a nice guy! Thanks for a wonderful first experience, we will definitely be putting The Cashew Lounge on our restaurant rotation!!! Give it a try, you will be glad you did!

The cashew lounge is absolutely out of this world. Firstly the bartenders Tia, Katie, Murph, Frank, & Karen, they are out of this world. I’m never thirsty. Mike the owner kills it with his staff and the service. The chicken parm is to die for. My number one. It’s nice to go to the peanut bar for a beer and the cashew for food drinks with the family. You really can’t go wrong with this place. Congratulations Mike and Tara on a well run establishment.

What isn’t there to love about the Peanut Bar and Cashew lounge? Pride of ownership shines throughout this establishment right from the fast, friendly service and the quality of food they serve. The peanut bar is comfortable and offers a large menu of delicious food. The cashew lounge provides me of an upscale feel and is perfect for private events.
Tonight we opted for the peanut bar side of the house and enjoyed adult chicken parm (cooked to perfection) chicken wonton soup and the Bubba fries. Everything we had was simply incredible and I don’t know that I’ll be going anywhere else next time I’m in the mood for an authentic pasta dish. This isn’t just a bar, this is the best place around for food and all around atmosphere. A true Carbondale staple and the community is so lucky to have them!

Service started out slow, but then we were checked on multiple times by different servers. Drinks filled in a very timely manner. Food was delicious and great portions. All around a nice and pleasant place to be, will definitely be going back!

I think that the Cashew Lounge is a great hangout place when you’re looking for something close to town and more upscale. I love that there is an outdoor patio for the summer. The new menu is great as it features a variety of food and new cocktails. Not only is it a great place for a date night or a hangout with friends, but also a great space to host events. It’s very cool to have a place like this so close to home!
