Our favorite Japanese restaurant since we moved to Woodruff, SC exactly one year ago.
I have nothing but praise for this restaurant. From the very first day, they have made us feel like family, from the servers and manager to the kitchen staff. Their service is always excellent. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with a smile and outstanding attention. The speed of service and the quality of the food make every dining experience truly enjoyable.
I would like to make a special mention of Ayu, our server, for treating my mother as if she were her own mom. My mother, who is a mental health patient, has grown very fond of her. She sees Ayu like a daughter and the rest of the staff as her other family. Because of that, I try to bring her here at least once a week, and I do it with great joy because it makes me so happy to see her smile and enjoy every bite of her meal.
I am truly grateful for everything they do for my mom and for the kindness and care they always show her. Based on my experience, I highly recommend this place. A great restaurant is not only about good food, but also about human warmth and empathy, and that is exactly what they offer. That is why they truly deserve my five stars.

We ordered DoorDash and they forgot to put half our order in the bag. DoorDash gave us a refund but we wanted the food. We called and their resolution was for us to drive to get it from their store. We ordered DoorDash because we have a new born at home and couldn’t leave. That’s not a resolution. They’re not fixing their mistake or offering anything in compensation. We’re really disappointed in this place.

Love the service. The waiters are friendly and very welcoming. We are usually in and out no more than an hour. The food taste good and the portions are worth the price you pay. This is definitely my new go to place for sushi.

Insanely wonderful sushi! I love sushi and enjoy getting to try different combinations. Had the “Gamecock Roll” and it was absolutely to die for! I have not had tempura sushi before but decided to try and was thrilled with it! Gracious portion and creatively presented! My husband had the NY Strip Bowl and loved it. Tender juicy perfectly cooked steak atop generous portion of rice and sauté vegetables!
Had excellent service from very cordial and friendly staff who where truly interested in us having a pleasant experience! Wish I lived closer to visit more often to this location, but did learn they have several more locations in SC and one in Charlotte, NC. Wish I could give 10 stars!!

Extremely disappointed. My favorite sushi place was closed Christmas Eve so i tried this one out. Never again. $12 for the soggiest tasteless sushi. It truly tastes like thick water. I only ate 2 pieces before becoming nauseous from the taste. Do yourself a favor and drive 10 mins away to the other sushi spot in Duncan.

Stopped in for lunch. I ordered their Special Ramen. It was really good! One of the items I like in a ramen bowl is the egg. Some places just add a regular boiled egg. Boring .
Konnichiwa knows how it’s done. These eggs are finished in a soy sauce. Very nice, in my opinion.
Not to leave out all the other items in their ramen, which are just as tasty and well prepared.
I’d definitely order this again!

Imagine you just finished eating some sushi, eggs rolls, and drinking some yummy green tea. You’re sitting in a restaurant chatting with your significant other, enjoying a laid-back, quick bite at the local Konnichiwa. You look to your left and you are greeted by a very kind server, providing a table touch and checking on you and your date. As the server leaves the table, you notice something moving on the wall to your right. You look over, and there you see a little cockroach crawling on the wall. Disgusted was all I felt. We paid the bill and got out of there. We will never return again.
As much as I love a quick bite of sushi and hibachi, I will not be returning to this restaurant.
Konnuchiwa has good food at good prices. Their sushi and hibachi dishes are very tasty. We have not had a bad meal there. Only reason for 4 stars is the restaurant does not have comfortable seating. The inside of the restaurant could use some updates. I recommend take out, but you can sit in there and eat as well.

Enjoy the food and options…is a little pricey but what sushi isn’t, enjoy the bang bang chicken rice bowl if you’re not interested in sushi I like that.

Crab Ragoons were undercooked with barely any crab in there and some were cold. The sushi were valid, but nothing extraordinary (good for their price). The Chicken Bowl had clumps of rice together with something like burnt remains inside and little to none flavor. We also got a Ramen Bowl, which was pretty good, but the amount of sodium in there was insane (atleast what I tasted). I spent $78 on 2 people but the food tasted like it was ~$40 quality. I love Kinichiwa, but this experience was just not it.
