Yanagi Kitchen is your number one choice for healthier take out sushi without compromising quality. We use the highest grade fish and ingredients because we take pride in our food. We started our restaurant journey as a local sushi bar back in 2008 located in Redondo Beach California as Yanagi Japanese Bistro. We opened Yanagi Kitchen to specialize on take out, catering, and delivering traditional and authentic sushi as you would expect in our sushi bar. Our sushi rice is Gluten/MSG free and we have many gluten free options available. Most importantly, we take great strides to create dishes which we would proudly enjoy with our own family.

PSA: No seating, take out only, reminds me of a ghost kitchen, delicious quality sushi. You order on a screen (they have two) and they have a large menu with plenty of options. Yanagi Kitchen Redondo Beach has a shared free parking lot directly out front. They told us it would take 10 minutes and they actually were ready in 5!
I felt like the fish was all very fresh & delicious. They give you ginger, wasabi, soy sauce and two very nicely packed chop sticks with napkins. For the hand rolls, they have add-on options, and I went with a phenomenal Salmon Hand Roll ($6) with avocado (+$1.50) and cucumber (+$0.25). I also loved my 8 piece Sushi Special sampler ($18.95) with came with 2 tuna, 2 yellowtail, 2 salmon, and 2 albacore. The sushi was nigiri style, with a slice of fish served over a bed of rice.
At the Straw & Spoon on Artesia, they let us eat our sushi from Yanagi Kitchen on their patio since each we ordered drinks from them and they’re in the same plaza, and it was a perfect combo. I will definitely be back!

This is an amazing sushi spot located in North Redondo Beach. We enjoy takeout from here as it always incredible fresh and amazingly good. Their crispy rice is THE BEST and the yellowtail is buttery and delicious. Try the yellowtail roll with cilantro.. amazing. The food is packed with great care and the presentation is outstanding even on a takeout order. Sushi at home feels more special with the nice packaging and all the accoutrements. If you are looking for really fresh sushi and related cuisine at a reasonable price you should give Yanagi Kitchen a try ASAP!

EXCELLENT sushi spot! I drove an extra 15 minutes out of my way because of the reviews and the cost. It did not disappoint. This is take-out only. The prices were excellent for the quality of food you receive. I will definitely return and I hope you visit too! I ordered my food with a set pickup time, and it was ready as soon as I arrived.

Yanagi is our go-to for takeout sushi. We have our favorites: baked scallop rolls (we usually order 2), crispy spicy tuna, salmon sashimi, miso soup, and seaweed salad. And we’ll also try other things. All yummy!

I always need to pull off rice from my sushi rolls. Although out of all the sushi places I have eaten, you all don’t ’over-rice’ (thanks). As a diabetic- I have to be extra careful about my rice intake and I won’t give up eating sushi. I hate wasting food, so this time I requested minimal rice (or no rice at all if possible) and you all did it right with the minimal rice. Thank you! Perhaps having no-rice rolls could become part of your menu?
