Milk Bar is a sweet (and occasionally savory) shop that’s been quietly shaking up the dessert scene since 2008. Bon Appetit magazine called us one of the most exciting bakeries in the country. But you can literally just call us Milk Bar. Founded by James Beard award-winning pastry chef Christina Tosi, Milk Bar is known for inventing: the Compost Cookie®, layer cakes with unfrosted sides, Cereal Milk™ Soft Serve, Milk Bar Pie the first flip phone and shoulder pads (Ok, technically those last two weren’t us. Stopped in to having a little craving for something sweet. The cake slices looked amazing but we weren’t that hungry. My husband and I each got a different shake and they were both amazing!!!! Very thick and tasty!!! The employees working explained the menu and had a strong knowledge and able to answer questions since it was our first visit. I totally recommend coming in and giving it a try- either for a shake, cake, or treat!!!! Great place to visit.

Jewels was an amazing barista! She was super friendly, helpful, and made our experience so enjoyable. The drinks were absolutely wonderful — the cereal milk latte and the caramel oat latte both hit. Everything was perfectly made, and you can really tell she cares about what she does. Huge shout-out to Jewels for making our visit so great. We’ll definitely be back! ☕✨

The cake was dryer than I expected it to be but the frosting was delicious. The cookie was also very good. I would go back. The staff was friendly. My issue was a few of the workers had long hair and it wasn’t pulled back in a pony or hair net. It was long and down and moving too much around the food.

The wait was super long but SO WORTH IT!!! I got the build a pint and shared it with my mom. More than enough sweets for us two. The wintery mint ice cream (for the holiday season) was really good. We tried the compost cookie and it was definitely different. The customer service was really kind and they made our treat quick. Definitely wait the 30 minutes :))

Their marshmallow cornflake chocolate cookie is one of my favorites !! I’ve had the blueberry one and compost one before too. Definitely on the sweeter size but chewy and warmed up. I always get their milk soft serve with the cornflakes bc it adds a salty and crunch layer to the experience. They also add a layer at the bottom so you’ll still have some for that last bite. I like the combo bc it makes me feel like I’m saving a bit of money. I haven’t tried their other items though bc I just want my dependable staples but if I stayed longer and was going back I would want to try the pint or pie

Jewels was very informative and gave me an honest recommendation and they were delicious. Would recommend coming for a sweet tooth fix. I got a chocolate chip milkshake and a b’Day cake slice. Yum!

Jonathan, the evening manager, was exceptionally friendly and attentive — his recommendations were spot on and his customer service was superb. The Fruity Cereal Milk Soft Serve was really good. I was bummed the milk bar pie was sold out but we opted for something just as tasty. Our family of four shared a pint – self-customized. With a 4 and 7 year old I was worried about the Frankenstein concoction we’d end up with. My husband chose the cereal milk ice cream. I chose the compost cookie. My oldest chose marshmallow goo and my youngest chose cookie crumble. This sounds like it would be all too sweet but this combo of flavors worked incredibly. The saltiness of the compost cookie played off the sweetness of the ice cream, goo and cookie crumble. You could absolutely taste each component that was carefully layered by the milk bar folks. Highly recommend the pint tho share with loved ones – you can’t go wrong with any option!

$8 for this cup of soft serve that tastes like milk as they promise in their name, Milk. Topping we got is corn flake crunch, which is included in the price. Doesn’t come with Tony. The topping is crunchy, and it does stick to your teeth due to the caramelized sugar , but that means you can remember the taste for longer . The soft serve is also not too sweet, except for the staff who were ultra sweet and kind.

Because it was high season, they were out of the Milk Bar Pie and Birthday Cake, which was a bit disappointing. However, the funfetti truffles were absolutely delicious. I hope they can better anticipate peak seasons and have extra staff and inventory available, because the quality is definitely worth it.
