Saw it on TikTok and had to try ITA Kitchen in Garden City, and here’s my honest take.
The place is very cute, aesthetically pleasing, and great for photos, perfect for date night or a girls’ catch-up. Plates are IG-worthy and the staff was very attentive. Aesthetics gets a 5/5.
Now, let’s talk pricing: the chicken bowl pasta with the fried cheese is priced deconstructed. The chicken bowl is $20, the pasta is $28, and the cheese crown is $6; bringing the dish to $54 total. Had I known that upfront, I would’ve ordered something else because the dish itself wasn’t anything extraordinary aside from presentation.
I also noticed portion inconsistencies. My friend’s chicken cutlet was crispy and her bowl was overflowing with pasta (she had enough for two meals as left overs). Mine was a soggy cutlet with a noticeably smaller pasta portion. Same dish, totally different experience.
The highlight of the night was the Eggplant Marco- absolutely delicious and honestly what I should’ve gotten as my main.
Final verdict: Very cute spot with great service and beautiful presentation. I’m glad I tried it, but the pasta bowl is a one-and-done for me. Clearer pricing and more consistent portions would make a big difference. I can say I’ve been there, done that.

First time . I decided to celebrate my Birthday with my family here ! By far the most satisfying and memorable dining experience I had in many years. The table side Mozzarella I recommend. I had the special Lamb chops with risotto, My wife had the Chicken Picante ! My Daughter ordered the Spicy Rigatoni. All of them were delicious. Our Waitress Natalie was beyond impressive, Jerry the Manger was very generous and Friendly . Our Drinks were perfect. Dessert was a Birthday treat! Pricey? Yes. But a great place to go for special events. Great food, impeccable service. Splurge and get the tableside mozzarella – it was phenomenal! The waitress heard us mention it was our 36th wedding anniversary, and she brought us a bottle of proseco. I can’t wait to go back!

Went for valentine’s dinner. Had a great meal, large portions. Table side mozzarella was the best. Decent menu selection and happy they offered both the regular menu as well as the prefixe for the holiday. We were checked on often and appreciated how well the staff navigated the busy evening. We didn’t wait long for anything.

I took my daughter to ITA Kitchen tonight for her birthday dinner. The food was amazing but even better was the service and hospitality! We were warmly greeted when we arrived and I immediately recognized Jerry who just so happened to be working at the restaurant I took my daughter to last year for her birthday, Sparrow. It was a really fun coincidence! Jerry took care of us all night making sure my daughter had a great birthday and she did!
The apps were fun and different than the usual. We had the crispy rice with tuna tartare, broccoli rabe and sausage egg rolls and mozzarella en carrozza with vodka sauce. Everything was delicious. All the entrees were delicious too. Chicken Picante, Chicken Parm, Eggplant Marco and Seafood Pasta. I can’t think of one criticism of this meal. It was the perfect birthday dinner in a beautiful setting that felt warm and homey. Highly recommend!

First time dining here tonight. We had a reservation and were seated right away. We loved the decor and the ambiance. Our server Alyssa was amazing and she recommended some delicious dishes! Everything we ate and drank tonight was great. We had such a great time that we are now thinking of hosting an event here. We will absolutely be back!

It all started when we walked in. Regardless of reservation time, we still had to wait 40 mins for our table. Of course we will have questions in regards to that, the hostess had no answers and gave us a blank annoyed stare as if I’m asking something out of the ordinary. The unapologetic Manager/Supervisor came out to the front where approximately 15-20 people were also waiting for their tables, stating that all seated diners went over the 2 hour limit. Great way to blame the diners and not management. However, he did offer only the adults a beverage on the house.
Once we were seated our server was actually really nice. Food was average, nothing memorable and took FOREVER to come out. Makes sense why the diners went over their 2 hour limit. Had we ordered dessert, we too would of gone over the 2 hours. The food would of had to been excellent to rid the sour taste the evening started with. The dining experience starts with the host/hostess. Hiccups happen, how it’s handled, matters.

Came here for a dinner with friends and would definitely recommend it! The ITA fries were delicious, it was a combo I’ve never tasted before and the sauce they used was so good. The Italian salad was great, but nothing too crazy. The chicken bowl pasta was definitely the star of the show. We saw this on instagram and had high hopes. All the expectations were met! The chicken was delicious, crunchy on the outside but tender on the inside! The cheese on top was fried to perfection and paired so well with the vodka pasta. Our server was amazing-originally they told us they had no more of the special cutlets to serve, so we were disappointed. Our server caught another table’s last minute cancellation and was able to get an order in! Would definitely recommend making a reservation, if you’re planning on getting dinner on the weekend!
