Incredible food, friendly service and just an all around amazing experience. If you can get there early enough on Saturday mornings they have some of the best tamales I have found on the east coast. Chori queso omelette turned into a breakfast burrito with hashbrowns inside is life changing. Tortas, french toast, chicken fried steak. What more can I say. The best breakfast spot period.

Vera’s is open for DINNER!, at least on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I had the Birria, which was amazing. This was my first visit, and everyone was very nice. The service was great, attentive but not intrusive. I want to come in and try breakfast now, if I can ever get out that early. The owner stopped by and checked on us and was super friendly. Lupita, we will be back!

Hidden Gem! I was in town for just a few nights and I found this amazing breakfast restaurant near my hotel. (I slept in, but they have breakfast all day!!) Yay!
I was greeted right away, my server was amazing, and even the owner comes around to refill coffee!! I had a breakfast sandwich and coffee and it was delicious. Coffee is hot! Please stop here if you haven’t. I wish they were closer to home, I’d never cook breakfast again.

This is now my favorite restaurant. The service was great, the food was great, and the atmosphere was so relaxing and calming. ive been here several times and all the waitresses are super sweet, Lesley, and Caren, and Maria. They serve breakfast all day. They have relaxing videos playing on the TV’s. It used to be a Cicis before it became Vera’s, so it has a Cicis vibe. I’m definitely coming back and am super happy with my experience.

I tried the red chilaquiles with steak at Vera’s Kitchen today. I ordered to-go because it was near closing time. When I got home and opened my plate I was blown away by how fresh and flavorful everything tasted! The ingredients were top quality, and the sauce vibrant and authentic. Every bite was a delight—by far some of the best chilaquiles I’ve had! I can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu.
I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who loves truly delicious, fresh Mexican food!

Don’t let the outside deceive you. The food is excellent, and the portions are very generous. The staff is pleasant and friendly. We had the Steak Burrito, Grilled Chicken Salad, and pico de gallo Omelette. The flavors were terrific.

Vera’s Kitchen in Monroe is managed by the same family that owns Vera’s in Waxhaw, so you know it’s delicious food. Vera’s in Monroe has tons of space inside, so if you wanted to have an office luncheon, there is enough room for everyone. The menu has a little bit of everything. I had the Hungry Lui Omlet, which has hame, bacon, sausage, and cheese. It’s served with hashbrowns or homefries, toast, or biscuits. It was delicious Also tried cheese fries smoothed with cheese. Definitely plan to go back to try the Tres Leches with a cup of coffee. Stop in if you’re in Monroe for some good food served with a smile.
