It was what you normally expect from a jjs.. customer service sucks. The little lady with the faded red hair leave out doesn’t need to work any front counter. She was rude, had an attitude and was very short. Other than that everything was fine. I liked that they had the condiments and seasonings all out so you could help yourself. I ordered a 6 piece wing dinner and a catfish and everything was good. Catfish was a little small but they came with fries which was a nice surprise. I would definitely return if im craving chicken.

Placed an order thru DoorDash tonight (Dec. 27, 2025). 3 piece whiting, 3 piece oysters. While the fish was very good and fried to perfection (they forgot the seasoning) but it was still good. However, the oysters were fried extra hard until the outside was black. The oysters had a weird taste, smell and odor. I opened one and to my horror it didn’t look like an oyster. It was old with green stuff and other growth. Just nasty. I’m taking something in hopes I don’t get sick. I want to attach a picture.

I have tried everything that jj’s have to offer, and the food has been great but the only problem I have is when ordering through Door Dash I never get the little size of slaw that is a part of the orders price, so what up with that? In order to make sure I get slaw I have to order a slaw order separately and charged for it.
Have reported to management but no results, so check for your little spoonful of slaw that you want get. I order through door dash two times a week.

My Daughter and I ordered a perch and whiting dinner on Super Bowl Sunday. We both became so sick the day afterwards. We both developed diarrhea and vomiting. We shared our meals so we had the same thing. I drove to this location because my location was super busy and ppl were waiting around the walls. I wish I had gone back home and made my own food. I will not eat here again. I’m thinking the fish had a bacteria or probably wasn’t washed properly. It’s best to eat at home. I wonder if some other ppl got sick from this fish on Superball Sunday bowl Sunday.

Chicken dinner 5 piece, 3 legs and two wings was OUTSTANDING! Crispy and full of flavor . Didn’t get the powder because I wasn’t fan, but this location(Metropolitan Rd.) was better than the previous HANDS DOWN. The drive thru window server was friendly and made my night as I was stuck at Grady Hospital for Thanksgiving holiday. She told about her dinner the night before and even shared recipes…..SUPERB

You know what to expect here, it has been years since I went and just felt necessary to share food has not been decent, wings are alot smaller and seemed to have be recooked as some parts were chewy. Very off experience and all the signs were simply hilarious, all FAQS are posted to streamline their process and I can’t be mad about that.

At the risk of sounding fat, I’ve been to about 4 locations over the years and this is EASILY the trashiest JJ’s location ever. Wasted an hour of my time for a simple order despite ordering through DoorDash. And of course the food was cold.
The positive reviews gotta be paid for. They literally have a negative rating for their lemonade on DoorDash so I should’ve known because how do you even accomplish that??
The building is old and run down. The doors can’t be opened on one side of the building. They have 5000 rules posted on the walls like a kindergarten classroom and they all just inconvenience the customer. And somehow there’s still no structure to the ordering process on the inside.
This should’ve been the one that caught on fire, not poor Wesley Chapel
This fish and the chicken must’ve fought back and taken over because this can’t be a human ran operation.

I have seen this place and other locations but never gave it any thought. My friend brought me the cat fish and fries and I enjoyed it. So when I had the urge for fried chicken it was a no brainer to head over to JJ Fish and Chicken. I was a novice as I noticed other patrons coming and saying give me the number this give me the number that while I was like can you add this or can you add that to the order . Anyhow, the fried chicken was slapping
