An Exceptional Meal with a Great View!
We had a fantastic dining experience at Louise Restaurant & Bar in Aker Brygge. The location by the water is beautiful, and the atmosphere inside is lovely.
The food was truly outstanding. We were incredibly impressed by the quality of the dishes. The prawns (gambas) were cooked perfectly in garlic butter—tender and flavorful. The pasta dish was rich, creamy, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients.
For the main course, the salmon was magnificent; flaky, fresh, and expertly prepared. And finally, the truffle fries were absolutely sensational—crispy, seasoned with parmesan, and served with a wonderful truffle dressing. They are a must-try!
Excellent service complemented the superb meal. Highly recommended for a special occasion or just a great dinner in Oslo.

We had dinner here and enjoyed the atmosphere. It felt surprisingly calm and relaxed, even though the restaurant was crowded. The food was great, particularly the salmon. The mussels in cream sauce were also delicious, and I loved the original presentation. I would definitely recommend this place for a nice dinner with a partner or friends.

Waterfront restaurant that was disappointed for the prices they charge. White wine should be served chilled, bottle was placed in ice bucket but this was only fine for the last glass. Clear away entree plates but take used cutlery and put back on the table for the main course. What does it cost to refresh the cutlery. DO NOT order the seafood soup main course size, it would barely suffice for a starter. It was small and lacked seafood. Worst still it was bulked up with croutons! How cheap. My partner’s mussels were good but overall our experience was poor. Give Louise’s a miss.

I always love Louise’s atmosphere and stunning menu offerings. We had to wait a little bit of time to put our in, but once we did, the service was excellent, from our server, Wael. He’s a true gentleman.
The seafood platter was a lot more generous than we expected! …and the fish soup was, as always, superb. Louise is a must when visiting Oslo.

Very nice restaurant in front of the harbor. the food is exquisite and the service is excellent. We had an amazing time largely thanks to Joseph, the head waiter. He was both friendly and professional, making us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our visit. His attention to detail and warm personality really enhanced our dining experience. Highly recommend asking for him if you want great service and a memorable time!

It’s such a shame that the service was so poor.
We first had to wait to be assigned at a table, then another 15 minutes with the menus closed in front out us – before we had to wave a waitress to order.
There seems to be an awful lot of staff hanging out and talking among themselves, while the people wait or have to get their attention somehow.
They were not rude by any means, but they were lacking in initiative to talk to the guests. We felt like we were interrupting and bothering them every time we had to request something.
It’s unfortunate, because the food was exceptional.
As a side note, their washrooms are impeccable and the scenting candle is heavenly.

The food was truly delicious — every dish was well-prepared and you could really taste the freshness of the ingredients and the chef’s attention to detail. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing, perfect for enjoying a nice meal.
A special shoutout to our server, Mia. She was incredibly friendly and attentive, and her thoughtful service made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable!

Our group had lunch before heading to the airport and fortunately had a bit of time to spare. Our guide had informed the restaurant of our plans the day before, and it was great that they remembered—despite being very busy, they still managed to reserve outdoor seating for us, giving us the option to choose between dining inside or outside. The restaurant’s location offered a stunning view of the marina.
Linda and the other manager were exceptionally attentive and friendly, making us feel very welcome. As for the food—the vegetable soup, salmon, and braised beef were absolutely fantastic, each dish cooked to perfection. We also finished our meal right on time.

We couldnt make a reservation for that day but we walked in and there were seatings so dont give up if you cant reserve. Food was delicious. Serving was a bit slow but I guess they were short on people. We ate rispy calamari, somon and white fish plates, drank margaritas. We will go again.
