Narda’s is one of those places that my husband and I debated even writing a review about, because of how amazing it is and we want to protect it . The atmosphere is so warm and cozy and as a fellow West Indian, familiar in such a beautiful way- this could be an auntie’s home!
The service with our waiter Jada was awesome. She was friendly, didn’t rush us, and professional.
The food was to the point where my husband wasn’t convinced that his mother didn’t sneak out to cook in the kitchen.
Needless to say, this was authentic Jamaican food. We had the chili wings, jerk wings, rice and peas, plantain, oxtail, and fruit cake. I had the guava ginger punch. The complementary bread and beets were so good too! Literally the entire meal was impeccable!

Narda’s Kitchen in Bloomfield is an absolute hidden gem. From the moment you walk in, you feel the cozy, welcoming energy that reflects the heart of its owner, Narda, who is not only the sweetest host but also the one preparing every dish with love.

We tried the jerk chicken, oxtail, and crab cakes, and each plate was full of flavor and soul—comfort food at its finest with a true Caribbean flair. The food tastes like it’s made in someone’s home kitchen, in the best way possible.

It’s a BYOB, which adds to the intimate and relaxed atmosphere. Service is a little slower than at bigger restaurants, but that’s only because the small staff takes the time to prepare everything fresh. Honestly, the pace makes you slow down and savor the experience, which is part of its charm.

If you’re looking for a meal that feels like it’s made with love, in a place that feels like family, Narda’s Kitchen is it. Bloomfield is lucky to have this treasure, and we’ll absolutely be back!

What a gem! Chef Narda blew us away — the salmon, crab cakes, pumpkin cardamom soup, and deserts were all amazing. Need to go back soon to try the jerk shrimp risotto, which also looked delicious.

Delicious flavors and the most perfectly tender curry goat I’ve had in a long time. We also enjoyed the shrimp and dumplings dish, the rice and peas, and the yams. We will come back for the flavorful food, the charming atmosphere, and the warm service.

This is one of my favorite Caribbean restaurants. They play good music, the decor is homey, and the servers are extremely pleasant (my favorite ones name is Nas). Definitely a must visit☺️ .

I LOVE this place! The food is awesome and the vibe is immaculate. Narda really made this place a hidden gem tucked away off the beaten path. I’m in love with the interior, and the food:

Ginger punch: Incredible. From what I understand, she also runs a juice business and you will understand why when you try it.

Bread: This was a nice complimentary surprise! Almost like cake but deliciously savory

Oxtails: My friend loved it, said it was solid. I tried it and also liked it a lot.

Brown stew chicken: My favorite Sweet and savory with a little kick.

Sweet potato pudding: Yum. Definitely for my fellow not-too-sweet dessert fans. Great texture too.

I should also mention that the power of community is absolutely present here. The live music, surprise musicians in the crowd playing at their heart’s content, etc, kind of blew my mind. So cool. I will be back, with lots of friends! Thank you to Narda for bringing a business like this to Bloomfield It’s a treasure.

Caribbean cuisine lovingly prepared by a Jamaican Chef. The food is oh so good. Narda does not drown her dishes in spices, she layers on just enough with surprising results. The menu is rich with something for everyone. The ambience is like none other, cozy, colorful, inviting. You feel right at home in Narda’s kitchen. The service is exceptional, the staff well trained and very charming, like Narda herself who makes time for her customers, visits your table and engages you with every topic under the sun. Love, love, love this place. Can’t wait for summer when she opens the backyard. That will be a treat. Thank you for your hospitality Narda. We will be back.

Have to give this place a try!!! Visiting a friend and found this new restaurant in the block. The environment feels like I am at home and the food has a fine dinning presentation. I had the jerk chicken and it was De-Li-Cious. The service was superb. I know I have to give this place a review. This will be go-to whenever I visit Bloomfield.

Great food, atmosphere, and staff. Cannot wait to go back!! The yucca bread, black rice, and pineapple yams were amazing with our curried goat and shrimp/dumplings. Narda’s ginger juices were so good too. & ending the night with a coconut pudding-type pie
