NEGATIVE 1 – Take a picture of it too Absolutely the WORST Thai food experience EVER!!! I ordered Pad See Ew with chicken, mild spice. It is typically has a rich brown sauce, however this was light beige, cold, and no spice, There was barely any chicken, and the chicken that was on had fatty skin hanging off of it. Since this was a carry out order, I called the restaurant to let them know, and they argued with me. They were unwilling to do anything about it, did not offer to re-make or credit me, and hung up on me. I will never order or dine there again. Shocked they are even still in business.

Food was great! Could have had a little more spice, but overall very flavorful! The green color of my food made me nervous at first, but it was delicious!

This is the first time my family has ordered from here. I love peanut pad thai and always got it from Novi area. We WILL absolutely order from here again. We ordered medium spice on all our food and my family, that has a decent spice tolerance, thought it was SPICY. I thankfully told my husband to start with medium. We did two build your owns, a thai pad curry noodle, and fried rice. Great portions, excellent taste, will eat again!

The place is a bit run down but the food makes up for the lack of decorum. The seating was dated but functional.

Our waiter was good at getting our food out but the interaction was minimal. Not unpleasant but just very business wise.

The food was good and was enough to make you full, so I don’t know how much more you could ask. I asked for no green pepper with my chicken and peanut curry dish and they graciously added green beans to the plate. The flavor was good and the chicken was tender and plentiful. I ordered the pork spring roll and kind of regretted not getting the vegetable spring roll.

I am not sure I would go back but it’s worth a try if you’re craving some Thai while in the area.

If I could put zero stars I would. We have purchased takeout for years despite the building being rundown and frankly disgusting.
Today we got takeout, ordered our normal – Chicken Gang Gai (3 different spice levels), Pineapple fried rice, and Pad Thai. When we got home and opened the first container immediately my daughter said something doesn’t smell right. I agreed, I smelled like soap or chemical cleaner. I said, maybe it is just the plastic that we smell let’s take a bite. We tried two different spice levels of the Gang Gai and both tasted like the chicken was soaked in some kind of cleaner or soap.
I called to tell them about it they said, no are wrong. We don’t cleaner or soap on their pans with soap. And everything is fresh. I asked if I could bring it back to show and get something different and she said no, our food is all good.
I don’t do reviews often because I try to give the business a chance to fix the problem.

Today, I drove from Brighton to downtown Howell from a recommendation of my wife. Upon coming home with the food and opening it, the container was far from full and seemed to have cheap frozen vegetables with little meat. The quality and quantity of food tasted as it looked, not GOOD. My wife wouldn’t even her food as it was worse then mine. I will not be going back and would recommend other Thai restaurants over this place.

Delicious food! No atmosphere but what do you expect?!? Get take-home instead. Very reasonable prices. Careful – even mild from them is very spicy so err on the much milder side of your preferences.

Seriously the best restaurant in Howell! The family that owns Thai Cafe are the nicest people you will ever meet. Super fast, really fresh taste and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Try the build you own plate. The yellow curry is to die for. Don’t add in too much spice or you will feel it the rest of the day.

Was looking for a great Thai restaurant near me in Hamburg, typically we will trek out to Plymouth MI for Thai Ocha, but I am so glad we found this place bc it’s a bit closer. Its small on the inside (about 10-11 tables) but it was booming for business which I took as a good sign. My hubs ordered the Fried Rice with beef and shrimp and I ordered the Drunken Noodles with tofu. They didn’t ask my husband what “flame” he wanted they automatically marked him down for mild. So when I ordered I said “drunken noodles, tofu, medium flame”. I’m pretty sure the guy is used to white ladies like myself ordering like I’m some kind of spice expert bc he immediately followed up my order with “are you sure – have you had OUR medium before”? I studied his face for a moment before taking my brave risk “yes, we gotta try it”. He smiled and away he went with our order. As an appetizer I ordered the Tom Kha soup (a coconut veggie soup with huge chunks of mushrooms, tomato, chives) and some fried dumplings. Both were superb. Then our main dishes came out. Both plates had enough food to feed an extra couple at the table. The flavor is sooooo authentic and savory yummy. I dug four huge forkfuls of Drunken Noodle into my mouth before it hit me. This place cooks with authentic chilis, not the kind you get at a fast food Thai place that claims it is hot and on the first bite your tongue burns and then fizzles. No. This place has what you need. My mouth was sizzling and my husband turned red and was sweating from the heat of these drunken noodles. He was grateful the chef rightfully guessed he would like his meal “mild flame”. The only reason I didn’t finish my plate was because it was soooooo hot. But I LOVED it. We will definitely be back there! Likely tomorrow for more Thai Cafe – can’t wait to see you again soon!!!

This place is amazing!
Love everything I’ve tried here.
I highly recommend upgrading your meal to a New York strip or their chicken breast.
I add either protein in place of the typical meat choices.
The curry dishes are my favorite by far from any place I’ve tried around Michigan.

Once a week customer for life,
Thanks for the great food❤️
