I just left the restaurant a little while ago. I haven’t been to the restaurant since covid, so I was trying to rekindle my Golden Corral experience.
The food (although a little pricey) was still up to par with my Golden Corral standards and had a fairly large selection of food.
My issue wasn’t with the food, it was our server. Yes, I am the guy with the party of eight that did not ieave a tip. I’m am a senior citizen and can honestly count the times in my life that I did not tip on one hand.
I am not going to give the specific time that I was there because I’m not trying to get you in trouble, but you do need to hear a few things.
First of all, you were a terrible server. You lack people skills as well as your job responsibilies. I don’t ask for much. As long as you keep bringing water and pop to the table and clear the plates, that is an easy 20 to 30% tip.
Oddly, you did none of that. Although I do realize that the restaurant was busy, it still can’t be offered as an excuse. I watched the interaction with all of the customers around us. They were given beverages as well as had their plates removed. I saw you walk by our table that had used plates, only to pick up the plates at the next table. We were not even offered water. We had to chase you down to get water and pop.
Again, I won’t be more specific because I’m sure that you want and need your job. I’m just saying that you either need to do better or change professions!
Let me talk about the steaks first. These aren’t your average cuts. These are gigantic, juicy, expertly grilled masterpieces, made exactly the way you ask. Medium rare? Done. Well-done with a sear? No problem. I asked for mine medium-rare, and what I received was a slice of perfection — seared on the outside, pink and tender inside, and full of bold flavor. One of these steaks felt like I had eaten four — that’s how generous the portions are.
I went in thinking I’d have one or two… I ended up having three thick cuts, and I’ll be honest — the third one was too much, but it was so good I couldn’t stop. You don’t find steak like this in many places. Not at this size. Not with this consistency. Not with this care.
Compliments to the grill master — whoever’s behind that flame knows exactly what they’re doing. There’s precision, passion, and confidence in how that steak is handled. That’s not fast food. That’s craftsmanship.
The atmosphere? Clean, well-lit, and organized. The buffet is constantly refreshed. Nothing feels like it’s been sitting out. Fresh salads, warm rolls, hot sides — everything complements the steak beautifully. And the dessert bar? That’s a whole other review.
Service is friendly, warm, and fast. The staff seems to genuinely care. It’s rare to feel that kind of welcome in a busy place.
Golden Corral at this location has earned my respect. I came for dinner, but I ended up getting an experience. It’s a place that respects your hunger, your preferences, and your time.
Whether you’re a regular steak lover or just passing through with an empty stomach — this is where you stop
