Rustic, counter-serve stop offering Southern BBQ staples such as brisket, pulled pork & corn bread.

Was looking to get some good BBQ and the girlfriend found this gem.
Attached to a gas station, this place oozed bbq culture and excellence, and the food and service did not disappoint. There was a gentleman walking around helping refill drinks and just be all around helpful (he seemed to know everyone and was a joy to just be around)
The BBQ was awesome (turkey, burnt tips, pulled pork sandwich, jalapeno Mac and cheese, cole slaw, corn bread and collard greens) and the sauces were worthy of their award winning status (our favorite was the orange sawce)
Excited to come back and try the other food on the menu!

I go through the drive thru about weekly to bi weekly. So much so that I’m bummed if my regular gal with the glasses isn’t working the window. She was yesterday! Yay! And the sweet young man with the curly hair who loves my pit bull puppy! But what got me here to rave today is that PASTRAMI!!!!!!!! Freaking AMAZING!!!! It’s the first time I’ve encountered it on the menu. Is it going to be a regular special? I just have to have it again!
P.S. My grandson loves your chili dogs. I also think you offer a wonderful BLT sandwich. The fat redneck is awesome and so is your jalapeño sausage! And your red label Sawse is my favorite BBQ sauce in all of Raleigh and NC!

This was our first time eating here and may become a regular stop if ever back in Benson, NC. The black pepper garlic sausage was very good. We both had brisket and also tried the pulled pork. Sandwiches and plates come with cornbread as well. Love the bbq sauces too. Friendly staff. Popular place from the line inside. Ended up in the drive thru which was quick and convenient.

Went and had a hard time deciding so we ordered more than 2 people should eat. Smoked turkey, pulled pork, brisket, sausage, collard greens, Mac and cheese, slaw, potato salad and it comes with cornbread. Everything we tried was very good. I would highly recommend traveling to Benson NC and try them. It shares a spot with a gas station and once inside it has everything you would expect from a barbecue restaurant.

This is one of the best BBQ places ever. Small yet wonderful. The mac n cheese… like home made, delightful. The collards…. so good. The meats… its just all done very well. Great job folks!!!!

We were told we had to try this bbq place and so glad we did! We got the ribs, brisket, pulled pork, sausage, jalapeño mac and cheese, slaw, and cornbread. Plus “The Judy”. Everything was cooked perfectly and had amazing flavor. All the sawse’s are delicious too.

Redneck Barbecue Lab was a mixed bag in the best-and-worst way. The brisket sandwiches and smoked turkey were really good, and the BBQ sauce options were the cherry on top. The decor is awesome—super country and exactly what you’d expect from the name. But the ambiance felt mid, and the staff/service was almost non-existent—our food took forever to hit the table. Prices were a little high for the portions, but overall we still had a great experience.

We have loved Redneck BBQ Lab for years. The food use to be so good. Over the last year or so this restaurant has gone down hill. The staff are slow, rude and unwelcoming, especially at the drive thru. Also, the food has gone down as well…many popular items not available hours before closing or you don’t get the amount you order. Lastly, I don’t know what happened but for months, the collards, an absolute favorite, has been full of thick hard chewy stems. The pic is from one small side of collards I received a few weeks ago. My family use to eat there very often but sadly we will be going elsewhere.

The food was delicious. The brisket was my favorite. The baked beans and slaw were great as well. My husband had the burnt ends which were also very good, along with the mac and cheese. The BBQ Sawse was so good, I bought a bottle to bring home. The service was quick and the gentleman walking around the dining area was friendly and helpful. No complaints.

I saw this restaurant on NC WEEKEND and since my husband and I were heading back to Fayetteville from Raleigh we decided to stop. Did not disappoint! The pulled pork with slaw on bun was delicious! The burnt ends I could have ate and ate! The potatoe salad was good but something was missing…. Maybe because it was not made with Hellman’s mayo. I don’t know but I will stop again!! The waiting in line wasn’t that bad. The wait was worth it. The dining room host was very friendly and he made you feel welcome!
