I did take out and was not disappointed. Raagini absolutely delivered. I ordered the curry shrimp, and it was the kind of dish that makes you stop mid‑bite just to appreciate what’s happening. The shrimp were perfectly cooked—tender, not rubbery—and the curry sauce had that ideal balance of heat, richness, and depth. You can tell they take pride in their flavors here. Service was warm, the portions were generous, and the whole experience felt like a step above the usual. If you’re anywhere near Baldwin and craving something flavorful, comforting, and done right, the curry shrimp at Raagini is a must.

This was my second time eating here with my family. They do have vegetarian options. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Mulligatawny (lentil soup), Garlic Shrimp, Aloo Mutter, Chili Cheese Naan and Samosas.

I ordered takeout, the order was ready on time and the food was excellent. The chicken dishes and lamb dishes were both delicious. They serve very good tasting and quality food. I like that the food was not oily and portions are fair for the price.

Ordered take out. It was kadai goat and goat vindaloo was delicious. Medium spicy was perfect. For an Indian restaurant in Long Island, Raagini was giving city spices. Would def come again. One suggestion: I wish they gave more naan

What I ordered versus what I got. I ordered the vegetarian lunch box, and was promptly delivered a bowl of vegetable curry and rice. There was no naan and only one vegetable dish. I called and the restaurant said they don’t “send the vegetable lunch box after 3pm”. That was never communicated when I paid for the order, it seems like they just sent me whatever was left over in the kitchen. No apology over the phone. So disappointed, be careful ordering from this place.

Good food. $27.67 for a kadai chicken with 1 garlic naan is steep though. Plus a tip on top of course.
I was here for about 45 mins as the only customer.
Also the chef was nice enough to tweak the spice level to suit me.

It’s been a while since I ordered from Ragini. This order was placed online, directly with the restaurant. You don’t find that as often anymore, it’s usually a third-party, and I appreciate that it was direct!

It’s a shame because the food here is actually good, but the experience was ruined. We found pieces of lamb in my wife’s vegetarian biryani. They did offer to replace it, but the damage was done. My wife chose this place specifically for its reputation, and it is deeply disappointing that an authentic Indian restaurant would be so careless as to serve meat to an Indian vegetarian

Very good authentic Indian food. Loved the food. The guy was generous as we walk in it was their lunch and clean time. He let us in either ways. Great place for a family to visit and eat.
