The atmosphere is great for a couple, a family or a large group of friends. A local favorite with plenty of parking. The food is delicious and they occasionally have some specials not on the regular menu.
Wonderful service and very attentive to our requests even with a crowded night. It can get a bit loud at times but not that bad for a conversation. Our appetizers came out with enough time to enjoy them before the main course. They don’t rush you but also don’t hang around for hours
All the staff was dressed in costume & our ‘witch’ Harley was just phenomenal!! She was extremely attentive & made us feel completely at home & not rushed at all, which was super nice! She even left the menus for food & drinks so we could look more after we ordered appetizers, something we both really appreciated since menus always seem to disappear after you order anything!
We had appetizers & a meal (no room for dessert lol) & the drinks were great! Please see pics of our food. First to last is Cotija Campfire Dip & Fusion Brussel Sprouts for appetizers, then Mile High Meatloaf and Pierogies & Beer Brats. We had beer & a mulled cider which was served hot.
Everything was paced perfectly & the presentation was beyond what we expected. Frankly, the presentation was better than many of the ‘finer’ restaurants we’ve eaten at here or anywhere!
We decided to eat here since many of the restaurants in Gettysburg close at 9 pm … this amazing place is open until 11 pm & we are SOO happy we chose Appalachian Brewing Company!
We will be returning again without a doubt!!
PS … Give Harley a raise! She had many other customers & she was still the most attentive waitress we’ve had in Gettysburg, she’s got what it takes & is a total people person … a very rare thing in this day & age of not being able to talk to people properly!
Food and beer were delicious.
Conveniently located across from the hotel we stayed at.
The dishes we really enjoyed and would order again: cheddar soup, pirogis, homemade hashbrowns, the yum rice bow, elephant ear.
Food was great. Beer was good, not necessarily great beer, but it was good enough to bring a pack of bottles home.
We were looking for something to split and the brats and perogies was perfect to split they way it is served.
I’ll give them another try when the beers rotate.
Noticed they have a beer garden too… maybe on a warmer day with less wind
The menu looked amazing, we were particularly taken with the Pierogi and bratwurst, the sweet potato fries AND the home brewed root beer. Our server was fun and knowledgeable and very friendly. Our food did not take very long to come.
The plates were long rectangles which really seems to fit with the rest of the industrial Brewhouse decor.
But the finishing touch on our delightful evening came when a certain mood-ruining song from 1997 began playing over the loudspeaker and it didn’t get far before some very astute employee pressed “SKIP” and moved on to something imminently more suitable to the atmosphere.
