This diner is the definition of simple and satisfying. Stopped in during lunch while waiting for service to my car to be done. Ordered the matzah ball and a breakfast dish. The matzah ball soup really stood out to me and was delicious. Breakfast platter was standard across any diner. Beyond that, the menu offers a wide variety of options, so there’s something for everyone. Wasn’t busy but the server never checked in on us.

I had such an amazing experience at this diner! From the moment we walked in, the staff was so friendly and welcoming. The menu is huge — honestly a little overwhelming at first — but in the best way, because there’s truly something for everyone.

I ended up getting a sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious. Everyone in my group loved their meals, and we all agreed the food was top-notch. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, which made the whole experience even better.

If you’re looking for a spot with great food, great vibes, and a ton of options, this is the place. Can’t wait to come back!

The Edison Diner is an absolute New Jersey classic—serving the community since 1952, and it shows in every detail.
• Fruit & Cottage Cheese Platter: Fresh, colorful, and beautifully presented with mango, kiwi, melon, bananas, strawberries, and blueberries. A refreshing start!
• Breakfast Special: Sunny-side eggs, golden hash browns, sausage, and some of the best bacon around—crispy, smoky, and thick-cut.
• Pancakes: Big, fluffy, and cooked to perfection. True diner comfort food at its finest.
• Sides: Scrambled eggs and bacon that taste just as good as they look—simple, done right.

The vibe is everything you’d want in a diner: warm, bustling, with steaming mugs of coffee and friendly service that feels genuine.

Verdict: This isn’t just a diner, it’s a destination worth the trip. Edison Diner proves that comfort classics, when done right, can be just as memorable as fine dining.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Highly recommend!

This place is very expensive. I ordered the western omelet with a side of bacon. My wife got the 2 eggs over easy with a side of bacon and 2 pancakes. I got 2 alcoholic drinks that were very large, the portions of the hash browns were large. For the 2 of us it was $97 with tip. The place was empty at 5:00 pm.

Edison Diner is a classic New Jersey diner with a huge menu, generous portions, and reliable comfort food. Service is fast and straightforward, the atmosphere is lively and no-nonsense, and you’ll leave full, satisfied, and probably with leftovers. Best Reuben I’ve ever had!!!

First time eating here. We had a Mexicall burger deluxe and a Jersey burger deluxe with BBQ wings and onion rings . We also had chocolate chip pancakes and vegetable omelet. The only thing that wasn’t bland was the pancakes. The burgers were edible but not much else was good. The decor was nice and the staff was ok.

Went here today for a Father Son lunch. I must say, I’m skeptical of diners as many have been let downs. But upon walking in, I was seated immediately and within seconds of sitting down, greeted by the waiter with glasses of water and offer other beverages and soups of the day. Then within minutes, both beverages and soups were on the table. We were given ample time to look over the menu and order two delicious meals which both my son and I were pleased with the taste and appearance of the dishes. Our waiter checked in with us multiple times and drinks were never allowed to be emptied without an offer of a refill. I was so very satisfied with the food and service, I will definitely be visiting again. A special thank you to Vincent our waiter, who made a father son lunch, extremely special. Best service ever.

Great Spot After Work – Pleasant Surprise at Edison Diner

While visiting the Edison, New Jersey area, a coworker recommended we check out the Edison Diner. After wrapping up a half-day of work on a Saturday, we decided to give it a shot.

The diner wasn’t overly busy, but it had a steady crowd — a good sign. The staff was incredibly friendly, making us feel welcome right away. The menu is huge, which made me a little cautious (so many options can be hit or miss), but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise.

We started with the calamari, which was excellent — crispy, well-seasoned, and not overcooked. For my main, I went with the Thai steak salad. While the steak itself wasn’t the highest quality cut, the flavor and the salad underneath really made the dish shine.

Prices were in the mid-range ($20–$30), but considering the generous portions, it felt justified.

Overall, a solid local spot with friendly service and better-than-expected food. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.

The food was good and service was okay. I just got off a plane, so that might have effected my interaction. Overall I liked the food and the place looked nice.

Great food, good vibes, and my history buff child loved the Thomas Edison theme. You will get your money’s worth with the portions. Our waitress, older lady with dark hair, was wonderful.
